Part 63

At 9:00 I woke up the next morning.

Liam was next to me with a pillow over his head and no cover over him and now wearing light grey tracksuit bottoms.

I had heard him get up a few times during the night but I stayed asleep.

I decided not to wake him up and went in to see if the boys were awake yet.

Both of them stood in their cots facing each other and talking.

"Happy birthday!" I said to them both quite quietly though as I didn't want to wake Liam.

"Don't wake daddy up" I told them.

"Don't worry daddy's up!" Liam said walking into the room.

"Happy birthday!" Liam told them and hugged each of them.

"Are you alright?" I asked him.

"Feeling much better thank you!" He smiled.

"You look very pale still!" I said.

"Well I'm a lot better now thank you!"

I walked over to a case which had a few presents in. I lifted them both out of the cots and put them on the floor.

"Presents! And a card!"" I said. "Here you go!" And passed them the cards first and helped them take the cars out.

I then showed them what to do with the presents and they pulled the paper off.

They each had a car to play with it had buttons on it and made sounds.

"My head is throbbing and you give them noisy ones first?!" He said.

"Sorry"

I passed them the next presents and they ripped them open too. This time it was two t shirts.

They both had cars on the front one was lightning McQueen and the other was another car which was blue.

I then gave them some books each and jeans. I planned on buying them more at the Disney park.

There was a knock at the door and I went to answer it and in rushed my mum and dad followed by Liam's mum and dad.

As I shut the door and walked back into the boys bedroom Liam looked at me and raised his eyebrows.

I stood next to him as our mums and dads talked to them.

"Happy 1st Birthday !" They were all saying.

First my mum gave them each a present. They both got a group of magnetic plastic cars. They joined at the bumpers and the front of the cars and were very colourful.

"Say thank you to nanny and grandad!" I told them and they tried to say it.

Karen then passed them a present to share it was a wooden train set.

"How are we suppose to carry that home?" I whispered to Liam.

"I'm not too sure!" Liam replied.

They tried to say thank you again. And then my dad passed them each a present they got some more books which made noises when you pushed the buttons. Geoff then passed them their cards. They were filled with money. As were my mum and dads cards.

"Aww thank you" I said to all of them. "They are great presents!"

"No problem hope they like them" my dad said.
