Welcome to the Mazari. A yarn from the world of Nyssea.
This yarn features the civil war amongst the Chorrans (pronounced Kor-rans).
One side are the Mazari; believer of the old ways and worship the three gods Magog (the god of birth and death), Zalton (the god of the nine paths) and Rivok (the god of judgement and resurrection).
The Mazari were condemned by the Ulterion; believers of the Numinae (pronounced Nu-meeh-ney) and demi-gods of Chorra. The Ulterions worshipped the Numinae of the white-skinned Chorrans, Ulteros (depicted as a Chorran with horns of a stag).
Lead by Magon Draz the Mazari almost took over Chorra but because of the birth of the Ulterion, Magon Draz was slain during the Izatel siege by Eldarik Tyro. The Mazari suffered a shameful retreat. Many were put to death and even more were imprisoned. A few Mazari fled to the mountains and forests, never to be seen again.
Fifty years have past and the Ulterion have prospered in silence.
Until this solemn evening.
