Family Breakfast

"Shuichi, wake up! Your sister is already at the table ready for breakfast and we just cannot start without you." Celesita peeked her head into Shuichi's room and opened the blinds to let the morning light in. "You've slept in now you must wake up. Your mother and I got up early this morning to make your and Maki's favorite; Chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream and strawberries! You better hurry before your food gets cold!" Celestia smiles at her son as she patted his head and walked out of his room.
Shuichi stood up and got out of bed. He stretched out and walked to the upstairs restroom to brush his teeth.
After his teeth were cleaned, he walked down stairs and sat at the dining table.
"Good morning Shuichi" Maki looked at her half asleep brother and continued to eat her pancake.
"Morning Maki" Shuichi said in a dull tone.
Kyoko looked up from her food to her blue haired son. "What's with the tone Shuichi?" She asked the boy.
"I'm just extra tired today I guess, sorry for sounding rude" Shuichi apologized for his tone and took a sip of his orange juice.
"So, what do you two plan on doing today? Getting into any mischief around the neighborhood?" Celesita asked the two in a joking manner.
"I don't know, we don't have anything planned today, do we Shuichi?" Maki asked her brother.
"No, nothing comes to mind, we might just sit back and rel-" Shuichi got cut off by a loud bang on the door. The whole family jumped a bit at the sudden sound.
"I'll get it" Kyoko got up from the table and opened the door as everyone else watched from the dining room. "Hello Kokichi" It was Kokichi Ouma, he lived right across the street from the family of four, his parents are Nagito Komeada and Hajime Hinata.
"Hi Mrs.Kirigiri! Are Shumai and Maki here!?" The purple haired boy said in a excited tone.
"Yes, they are just finishing with their breakfast" The detective told the future leader.
"Oh nice! Can I come in and wait till their done?" Kokichi asked the mom.
"Sure Kokichi, your always welcome here, if you want we have some extra pancakes" Kyoko moved to the side to let Ouma in.
"Sure Ma'am" Kokichi skipped in the home and sat down at a empty chair next to Shuichi. "Hi Shumai! Hi Maki! Hi goth!" He said in a cheerful tone. Out of all the kids on the block, Kokichis was Celestia's favorite. They were both little pieces of shit and that's why they respected each other. "Hey grape" Celesita and Kokichi even had nicknames for each other such as Goth and Grape.
"Hey Kokichi, what brings you over so early?" Shuichi asked the other boy.
"Yeah why are you even over here at all?" Maki asked Kokichi. She thought Kokichi was a annoying prick, the opposite of what her other three family members thought of him.
"Don't be rude Maki, we raised you better than that" Kyoko corrected her daughter.
"I'm sorry mom, Kokichis just always over here it's-" Maki got cut off by her other mom.
"Maki please keep your hatred for Grape in your head until he's gone, then you are free to talk all the shit you want" Celesita told her.
"Celesita she shouldn't be talking *whispers: shit* at all!" Kyoko told her wife.
"Mom you can cuss in front of us it's fine" Maki looked at her purple haired mom.
"Uh-" Kokichi said, stuffing his face with pancakes.
"Oh- right- sorry about that Kokichi, you may answer the question Shuichi asked" Kyoko put down her fork and turned her head to look at Kokichi.
"Well I'm here to invite you both to a sleepover I'm having tonight! Almost every kid in the neighborhood is coming so it'll be fun if you guys did too!" Kokichi took another bite of pancakes and smiled.
"What do you mean by almost every kid?" Maki asked him.
"Well, you know, our closest friends, Tenko, Kaede, Rantaro, Himiko, Kiyo, Miu, and Kaitooooo" Kokichi smirked when he said Kaitos name.
"Kaito-?" Maki asked him a second time, blushing a little.
"Yep!" The boy smiled.
"Oh uhm.. I'll be there if he's going" Maki mumbled as she looked down at her pancake.
"OoOoOoOo does Maki have a little crush?~" Kokichi teased her.
"Wha..What..!? No..! Kaito is a gross idiot" Maki pouted.
"You totally like him!" Kokichi laughed.
"Maki you never told me you liked anyone!" Celesita looked at her and smiled.
"Can we just move onto another topic please!?" Maki asked the group.
"Come on you two lay off Maki, she has her first crush, don't bug her for it!" Kyoko smiled.
"Mom I don't like him!" Maki pouted to her mother as Kyoko and Celesita giggled.
"Well uh- can we go over tonight moms?" Shuichi looked at the two.
"Well we don't seem to be busy tonight to why not! It'll also give your mom and I a night alonneeee~" Celesita smirked and giggled.
"Ew mom! Not at the table" Shuichi got embarrassed of his mother's joke. As everyone else was laughing about it.
"Don't worry we won't do anything gross, unless you count cleaning the mess you made yesterday in your room. We still have to vacuum the juice spill Shuichi" Kyoko smiled at her son.
"Good, so Kokichi, what time do you want us over?" Shuichi looked over at the little leader.
"Hmm.. maybe around 5:30ish so it's kinda dark?" Kokichi told them, finished his pancake.
"That works, we'll just order italian for dinner then and have a movie night Celesita" Kyoko looked over at her gambler wife and put her hand on hers.
Celestia smiled and responded to her lover, "Yes darling, that sounds perfect, 5:30 it is" She smiled again at Kokichi.
"Nice! Well thank you for the pancake!" Kokichi smiles at the family "I gotta go set up for tonight"
"But it's like 10am Kokichi" Shuichi said.
"Well I'd rather be early than late!" Kokichi said as he pushed in the empty chair at the table. "Thank you guys for having me, see you at 5:30!" and with that, the boy walked out the door and back to his home.
