"There's nothing more I want to do than go beyond the gate." Rona looked at me like I was crazy. "You know it's stupid Talana! No one can leave here! It's impossible! Are you insane?"
"Why don't you won't to know what's out there? Why don't you want to leave?!"
"Because I know it's impossible to leave!"
"We'll have you tried?"I was so frustrated with Rona. I would do anything to go beyond the gate.
"No I have not because plenty of people have showed me its not possible! They go and get themselves killed. I don't want to be one if them!" She had a point. Everyone disappears or just dies! But I'd rather die beyond the gate then in here. Yup this place looks amazing. A 7 floor stone building with ivy growing on the walls and gardens. But I have never left no one has. No one that we know of. Rona stopped out of the room thinking she was so smart. Everyone here thinks the right choice is to stay die here, never get out and see the world an what's out there. Even my faith was trembling! I walked out of the study area and decided to go to my favorite place. I calm my nerves here and cry here and laugh here and be me. The library! I stride down to the elevator. He brings me up 14 levels. There are 7 floors above ground then there is over 26 levels below ground. This isn't no ordinary elevator either. It goes up and down and side to side. Hundreds of paths are down here. There are five of these buildings in all! there all separate but families live together. The elevator I take I could do it with my eyes shut!

After a good three hours in the library I head up to my room. I share a room with my my three sisters. My parents live a couple rooms down from us. Then my 4 brothers are right next to us. I open the door to my room and slump over to the window sill. I stare out over at the gate. Rain piter paters against the window sill in a calm beat. I can't even count how many times I have just sat here and watched and dreamed. Night started to fall. An very soon one of my sister walks in. My oldest sister, I don't need another person telling me I'm stupid!
"Hey!"
"Hi" I keep my focus on the window outside.
"What's wrong?"
"Huh? Oh um nothing just-"
"Dreaming?" She took the words from my mouth.
"Yup! But look I don't need one of your pep talks!"
"Wasn't coming to give you one. I wanted to talk."
"Oh."
"Yeah, come here." I walked over to her. We talk a lot. But she never starts a conversation like this, (we need to talk). I sit down with her. Me being 14 and her going onto 16, we had lots of story's talks and fun. But the one thing that was strange was the way she started this, only once has this happend. Age 11 yup she gave me a talk alright!
"I'm sorry Talana!"
"For what?" I say slowly. "You didn't ruin my boots again right?!"
"Haha no, not boots at all." She started to laugh and I couldn't help but join.
"Then what is it?"
"I'm having mixed emotions!"
"Where is this going, cuz ur giving me some to?!"
"Don't take this wrongly, but I do understand why you would leave."
"Really? Yes! I knew you would come around!"
"But Talana I don't want to leave I was just saying I can understand why."
I sigh and lie back on her bed. New it was to good to be true.
"Why doesn't any one want to leave!" She also sighs and lies down with me. She turns over ad hugs me for a bit.
"I'm sorry I don't want to leave its just apparently we are meant to stay here." I roll over to face her.
"I guess so but these gates won't keep me in for long."
