Bolt Boy

a/n: hey so I was writing on my computer instead of my phone and it glitched and deleted ✨everything✨ so if this seems a bit rushed I'm sorry, I tried my best.

(Jirou's P.O.V.)

I walked up to the gates of UA, I was really excited to be here but now I'm feeling nervous. Everyone here looks like they have really cool quirks 'I can't focus on that, I can't pshyc myself out.' I thought to myself. As I walked around looking for a clear space to stretch I saw people huddled around a kid saying things like "He almost wet himself in the entrance" and "I guess one less person that's no competition." If you ask me they were being a bit harsh, I looked over at him. He was a skinny short boy being only a bit taller than me. Okay maybe they were right... he didn't seem to have any physical attributes that would make him powerful.

I decided to go into a corner to stretch so i could have at least some peace and quiet. I start by reaching my arms above my head and then reaching down to my toes. As I close my eyes and start focusing on my breath I hear a voice, "HELLO," I open my eyes i get startled and stumbe a bit "woah there, it's nice to meet you I'm denki kaminari." He said with a child-like grin sticking his hand out. I glance between him and his hand not doing anything. I took my chance to take a look at him he was fairly tall and had yellow hair with a black bolt on the side. He had golden brown eyes that looked like they belonged to a child, "I was wondering what your name was?" Is he serious? I mean were here to beat each other aren't we? "Uh... I'm jirou.." I say looking at him.

"I was uh wonderi-" "ALL RIGHT KIDS YOU WOULDN'T GET A COUNT DOWN IN A REAL BATTLE SO WHAT ARE DOING STANDING AROUND HERE? GO!" We all start running into the arena at the sound of the teachers voice. I see people using all of their quirks, some people had really flashy quirks and others had stronger but less noticeable.

I look around and see a two point robot. I run behind the bot and I feel around for a weak spot. Once i find a good spot I extend my ear jacks and injected it into the bot. I focus on my heart beat and send a vibration knocking the bot down. I look around for more and then see bolt boy next to a three point not. What is he doing? It's not like he can actually defeat that thing on his own, "hey! Bolt bo-" then I see him grab the bot with his hands and send an electric shock through his arms into the bot killing it. He looks over at me with a cocky grin, "what? You think I can't handle myself?" He says walking over to me stumbling over his own steps a few times. "Yeah whatever bolt boy."

*time skipppp* (this won't hapoen often i just can't write combat too well)

I had 43 points, I think i did quite well but I won't know if I passed for a few days. I started walking home, i put in my earbuds and played my lofi playlist. As I walk i look down at my feet. After walking for about five or six minutes the exhaustion from the exam finally caught up and I was really thirsty so i walked to a nearby cafe to get some tea and maybe a scone.

When I get to the cafe I walk up to the cashier, i had been here once or twice but their food was too expensive. "Hi what can I get for you?" The guy asked with a sincere smile, he seemed around my age, "uh could i get a peppermint tea and a raspberry scone." I asked looking at the menu board above him. "Totally, that'll be 26.11" I grabbed into my bag just grabbing 30 dollars. He smiled and handed me the change in return which I put 3 dollars in the tip jar and stuffed the rest in my pocket.

I sat down at a table near a corner window and set my bag next to my leg. I grab my bag pulling out a pen and a notebook and play my music again while I scribble down some music notes and lyrics. After some time the guy from earlier sets down my order I say a quick thanks and start eating quickly. I didn't realize how hungry i was until now. I see a shadow come over me. I slowly look up and see a beautiful girl around my age. She had jet balck hair in a ponytail and was wearing a white blouse and a balck skirt with white flats. Her face was perfect, no blemishes no wrinkles just utter beauty. I pull out my earbuds, "uh w-what s-s-sorry I couldn't hear you, I was so stupid, I still had my mouth partially full as i spoke. "Oh, I was just wondering if you were going to use this chair my parents and i need one more." She said with a smile on her face. God she was so perfect, "oh n-no not at all you can have it." And with that she said thanks and left taking her chair with her. I'm such a moron I thought to myself. I finished my food and left.

What jirou didn't know as she left the little cafe in a hurry was the momo was sitting with her parents thinking about the small interaction with the girl, with sparkling eyes.
