Well.
Today's my first day at Tohoku University.
I've gotten all moved into the dorms and my ID squared away. This morning i had breakfast in the dinning hall, alone.
I'm finding my way to the 10 am lecture when i hear a voice over the crowd:
"Well that's a familiar face."
I stop dead in my tracts, earning a few annoyed grumbles from behind me. I know that voice. It's been a while, but his soft and kind- yet stern, like a mother's- voice is so familiar to me, it's almost strange to be hearing it again.
I never realized how much I missed him until I looked up to see his ash blond hair, hazel eyes, and wide smile. "Sugawara? Hey!" I couldn't help but return the smile. He has that effect on people.
It took him a moment to make his way over to me, but when he reached me, he enveloped me into a spine-crushing hug.
"It's so good to see you!"
"I had no idea you'd be attending this school!" we exclaimed at the same time. We stared at each other, stunned for a moment, then burst into little giggles.
"We should catch up!" I suggested.
"Yes! But not right now we have to get to class," he reminded me. "Meet me outside the Main Hall later?"
"sounds good," I agree, and we head our separate directions. As I get to the lecture hall and find a seat, I can't help but to think about the other three people I knew from the graduating class of Karasuno.

After class, I packed up my things and headed to the main hall. Without a doubt, Suga was there. He seemed to be engrossed by something on his phone.
"Sorry, where you waiting long?" I asked as I approached.
He jumped at my voice and quickly shoved his phone in his pocket before speaking. "No, only a minute. Are you hungry? I had agreed to meeting an old friend at a restaurant the other day and I just agreed to catching up with you and I totally didn't realize I double booked. Sorry," he had with a frown.
"It's fine. Any friend of Suga's is a friend of mine," I reassured him with a smile.
"Thanks for being flexible. The place is only a five minute walk from here." We began walking down a semi-crowded street.
A moment's worth of silence fell between us, so I decided to try and make small talk. "I hope you don't mine me asking, but who's this 'old friend?'" I cautiously inquire.
"Not at all. You might remember him, Tooru Oikawa? We were super close back in high school."
"The flat Seijo volleyball captain?"
"That's the one."
"I am not that flat," a defeated voice came from the entrance of the building we had stopped at. "But I'm glad I'm remembered... for better or worse." I hadn't noticed the tall, skinny man in front of me when I made the comment. He has messy brown hair and dark brown eyes rimmed by black glasses; and he's wearing a white button-down shirt with a dark blue jacket and brown slacks.
I let out a nervous chuckle. "I'm sorry I had a habit of using a physical feature of the captains to help me remember who went to which school," I explained. "Since I was the manager, of course."
"I remember you. Kindaichi was always going on about the hot Karasuno manager," he said the last words in a mocking tone.
I offered my hand to shake. "Kiyoko Shimizu."
He took my hand. "Oikawa Tooru. It's a pleasure to finally properly meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too."
