~.~.~.~.~Narrator's POV:
It had been a week since Justin and Liam had that talk about Zayn and it was still fresh in Justin's mind.
*Flashback*
Liam and Justin walked out of Zayn's room and made their way to the cafeteria. It was crowded and there were no empty seats, but for this kind of conversation, they wouldn't be needing any.
Before Justin had a chance to open his mouth Liam started rambling.
"Listen to me and listen to me closely Bieber." Liam had spat.
"My little brother seems to have gotten a liking to you for some god damn reason that I haven't quite figured out yet, but have it very clear that if I'm letting you be anywhere near him it's not because of you, it's because of him and his happiness. If you take that away from him then you might as well kiss your life goodbye. Don't you dare take advantage of him or his feelings. If he so much as sheds a tear because of you, I won't let you forget it."
*end of Flashback*
That had pretty much been the entire 'conversation' that Justin wanted to have with Liam, though a conversation technically required two people to talk.
This was only because Justin didn't have time to react in the slightest, besides a brief nod, before Liam had left him scared out of his wits, not like he'd ever admit to it anyway.
And here he was now, thinking about what he was about to do in his 3rd period class. He and Zayn had gone on various dates the past week, and he'd really gotten to know him. Not to mention that Zayn had never been happier in his life, and that was saying something, putting into consideration that he's a naturally happy boy.
Making Zayn happy made Justin happy. It was a completely new side to him that only Harry had noticed. While Zayn and Justin had had their dates, they still weren't per say 'official', and Harry would always point out his limited amount of time.
On the side note, Harry and Liam had gotten to talk to each other quite often considering that Justin would call Harry to distract Liam and keep him busy while Zayn and Justin left to have a real date, one without the interruptions of older brothers and best friends.
Liam liked Harry in a weird way. He couldn't bring himself to come to a conclusion on his type of feelings towards Harry. On the other hand, Harry knew exactly how he felt about Liam. These feelings that Harry had were no longer 'crush' material, it was more serious now that he had gotten to know him, and frankly, it scared him.
He didn't want to ruin a potentially great friendship for the simple reason that he couldn't seem to define his feeling. He'd heard of and seen many long term friendships come to an end because of the feelings that they had for each other and things just simple.... Well... not working out in the end.
And worst of all, these were long-term friendships, meaning they knew each other for a long time, so Harry knew that if he exposed his feelings for Liam the idea of a great friendship would be tarnished along with his heart.
Instead of over thinking his feelings, Harry accepted them and tried to hold all the quality time (if you could call it that) that he spent with Liam close to his dearest memories.
They had learned that they both loved the same video games and that Harry was a better cook than Liam, with a burnt pizza and a smokey house to prove it, Liam's pride wasn't burned with the rest of the pizza though, it was rebuilt once he found out that Harry was absolute shit at soccer. That took a big blow to Harry's ego and Liam's ego had some well-acknowledged damage as well thanks to varies burned meals and pastries.
