Bismarck (Y/N) slowly felt everything return to him, which was weird because he was an A.I., he shouldn't have been able to really feel things that a normal human should.

??? #1: Hey everyone! He's waking up!

??? #2: Can you hear us? Are you alright?

He knew those voices, the first one was the destroyer Thunder, and the second was the light cruiser Summer.

He opened his eyes and saw that everything around him was red. He sat up and noticed that he was wearing the Federation's dress uniform with a sword sheathed on his left side.

He looked around and saw his ten escort ships in their armor close by. The ran up to him as he got up and looked around some more.

Is this...Mars? But how? He was close to Saturn, not Mars! He also noticed that he and the others didn't have that see through look that holograms normally had, they were solid, like an organic being.

Bismarck (Y/N): What's going on? Why do we look like this?

He looked at his escort fleet for an answer, but they appeared just as clueless as him about their new state. They looked around for their ships, but couldn't find them. They were most likely in orbit. One of the destroyers, Volt, tried to call her ship down to see if she could still control it.

Up above, a destroyer came down and hovered above them.

Volt: Oh! Before I forget, look what we can do!

Bismarck (Y/N) looked at her and watched as her ship dispersed and turned into a bunch of blue cubes before flying down and surrounded her. They seemed to enter her and create a bright blue light. Once the light cleared, he saw that she had parts of her ship on her person.

Volt: We can turn our ships into small, portable platforms! We can fight in orbit, and not have to worry about too much collateral damage from our energy weapons!

That certainly surprised him. He tried to think of anything similar to this, but the only thing he could think of, was the Mechs they carried. He also thought about the crews and wondered if they came with them too, and what happened to them when they transform their ships into these portable weapons platforms. He asked them, and they said the crew disappeared, but it felt like they were still there, in their stations, awaiting orders.

Volt turned her platform back into her ship, and awaited her orders.

He told Volt to send a Needle down to pick them up and thought about what he had been told on the way up to her ship. He continued to think about it and what it could mean for them and the Federation.

Once they were in her bridge, he and the others gathered around her galaxy map that was in the center of her bridge. A holographic image of the galaxy appeared and zoomed into the SOL System and then zoomed in again on Mars.
