"Punch it." I tell Dom, as I close the bonnet of the car me, Dom and Brian were working on. Dom turns the ignition, and the car roars to life.

We all are grinning, when the rest of the team walks in, and our smiles immediately fade, when we see the look of defeat on their faces.

"What the hell happened?" Brian asks them.

"We met Dom's girlfriend." Riley tells us, sarcasm dripping from her tone. "She's lovely."

"You alright." Hobbs asks her, and she nods, with a light smile on her face. "Tej, what have you got? Footage, CCTV? talk to me."

"I just went through all of it." Tej tells us. "Believe it, or not, everywhere Shaw's team is, the cameras are down."

"That's a hell of a coincidence." Hobbs replies, turning to Riley. "Alright, Riley and I are going to pay CCTV a little visit. Blake, keep us updated. Let's roll."

Hobbs and Riley walk out, and the conversation carries on, reveling the Shaw was working with Braga.

After their conversation ends, I make my way towards Dam and Brian.

"I'm going to take my car for a spin." I tell them.

"Alright." Dom nods his head.

"Be safe." Brian tells him, and I give him a look.

"Is anything we do ever safe?" I ask him.

"What?" He asks, fake offended. "I just want to protect you."

"Why do people want, what they can't have?" I question playfully, and walk away.

"I'm serious." I hear Brian yell behind me.

As I make my way towards my car, I smile.

"It's almost creepy, how you smile at that car." Nicholas's voice comes from behind me, and I turn around.

"You'd smile at it like this too, if you just spent the last 5 hours working on it." I reply, and open the drivers door.

"I thought the whole point of paying so much for a car, was to not having to do any modifications." He says, as I rest my arm at the roof of the car.

"I'm not modifying this car because I have to." I tell him. "I'm modifying it because I want to."

"I'll never understand your weird obsession with cars." He says, and I make a face.
