'Quick! Get in, I don't want you getting wet' Kimberly called to Trini just as the heavens opened. Kimberly's Range Rover parked on the curb just outside of the school. 'I couldn't put you out like that' she called back but the rain began to persist, Trini went against all her rules and got into Kimberly's car.

After last year when Trini had found herself spending more time with the ex head cheerleader, she realised the warm feeling she felt whenever Kim was around wasn't platonic.

The number one rule was to never, no matter what, be around Kim on her own. When the boys were around she could hide her blush, if Kim even looked her way her brain would go to mush and she would smile back like an idiot. That was with others around, on her own Kim was dangerous.

Kim reached to turn up her heater in the car and looked over to a wet Trini. 'The car will heat up soon' she said and Trini smiled thankfully, words would betray her so she took to looking out at the rain.

'Where did it even come from?' Kim questioned 'one minute the sun was shining and now you're drenched' she said laughing a little. 'It's a good look Trin' she said and Trini gave Kim a pointed look.

'You can be insufferable sometimes' Trini mumbled. She didn't mean it, of course she didn't. 'Oh you love me really' she said as she nudged her slightly with her hand. Kim pulled up outside the Kwan's residence. Trini turned to Kim and it was a mistake, her smile was intoxicating and her eyes, she could get lost in them forever.

'Trini you good?' She questioned with a raised eyebrow, Trini looked away 'uh yeah, thanks for the lift Kim' she said. 'No problem Trin' she said. The smaller girl got out of the car and sprinted to her front door, the rain coming at her in all directions. She reached into her bag for her keys but came up short. Not today she thought, she could see that Kim was still outside and waiting for Trini to head on in. Always the gentlewoman she thought.

Trini remembered that she'd forgotten her keys, her mum and dad were currently both out of the state. She sighed when she heard Kim calling her once more.

'Everything good?' She asked. Trini had two options, lie and say she was fine and that her parents would be home soon, yes she could potentially catch a cold but the other option felt worse. She could be honest and she knew as soon as she told Kim her parents were not in Angel Grove she'd invite her round, to stay the night and that just couldn't happen.

'Yeah, uh my parents should be home soon' she called back. 'Trin you know our parents are both out of town for the same reason right?' She said, catching the girl out.

Not only was she about to be spending the night at Kimberly Hart's house but they were going to be completely alone. She gulped down her anxiety as she ran back to the car, Kim pushed the door open and Trini jumped back on in. The car ride was silent, there was nothing comfortable about it either.

Every traffic light they reached seemed to be red, elongating the ride.

They finally made it back. Kim got our first so she could run up to her door and open it, she held her bag over her head and soon Trini followed. The two girls made it in and Kim shut the door.

'I'll get you some clothes to change into' she said as Kim headed on up her stairs.

If there was one thing you could say about Kim's house was that it was beautiful, modern and oh so spacious. Her father, Chris, was a lawyer and one of the top in the country. He never liked to brag though. Jasmine Hart was a heart Surgeon, intimidating didn't even cover it. There wasn't much more Trini knew about her, she was too scared to even talk to her.

Kim returned with some clothes, they were pink of course. Not hot pink though, Kim would never subject her to such torture.

'Thanks' she said. She'd been to Kim's a few times before, she headed to the downstairs bathroom and got out of her wet clothes. She changed into the dry ones. As soon as Trini put her head into the top she could smell Kim, it was hard not too.
