hi there!!! umm so basically this will be a y/n story and i've noticed a complete lack of diversity in spencer/matthew fanfics.
i really really hope this doesn't come across as "white saviour" i just want to be more inclusive. even if it only matters to like, one person.
for reference sake: i'm a blonde, slightly chubby, 5"4, irish, pale, white girl with blue/green eyes and a shit ton of freckles.
i do tend to write stories where the main character is basically an extension of myself. HOWEVER, i don't want anyone to feel excluded from my story—
so, there will be two published versions of this story (i would honestly do more but i just think that's pushing it a bit, sorry :/) in one, the girl will be basically an extension of myself— what i usually do.
i would like to do this as it means i can read and enjoy my own story and also it helps me to be able to immerse myself in the story and chose the characters actions/reactions/ traits more carefully—as i would chose them.
in this one, the girl will be a tall, black girl with traditionally african american features. (curly hair worn in natural styles or braided, a larger nose and a "thicker" body— an hourglass figure but for realisms sake— a little bit of a tummy!)
the actual PLOT of the story will not change, at all.
but it's up to you to chose which of these descriptions you resonate with more and read from there! :)
the covers of the stories will be different as there will be a "face claim" for each story, but really other than that (and maybe varying outfits) essentially nothing else will change.
it does mean, though that it might take me a bit longer to update this story— as i want each story to be updated at the same time and not prioritise either or. because they're the same.
