District 1 was lively and happy as usual.
Meryse Storm sighed happily as she made her way to the microphone.
To herself and most Capitol residents she looked great, but to District residents some Capitol residents and even President Snow thought she looked ridiculous.
Her hair was long pin straight and dyed cobalt blue. Her skin was dyed baby blue but her eyes were onyx. She was wearing a prussian blue poofy dress and had on WAY to much makeup.
"Happy Hunger Games everyone! And may the odds be ever in your favor." The crowd cheered. "Before we begin I have an amazing video to show you." the same video everytime. "As you know our distinguished President has added rules to the Games." She went on telling them what they already knew.
"Just get to the Reapings!" A crowd member yelled.
"Oh yes!" Meryse said trying not to lose her smile. She waddled over to the girl tribute bowl and then called the name,
"Ruby Luxe!" A girl made her way from the 16 year olds. She had long coppery brown hair that reaches the middle of her back and bright blue eyes. She had a slim but curvy figure. She acted so much like Meryse that you would think they were related.
"Now for the boys.........Aries Van Pelt!"
A boy strutted his way to the stage from the 18 year olds. He was tall muscular with blond hair and blue eyes. Everyone knew he was tough and vicious no one knew that he had a heart.
The mentors, Emerald Laroux and Midnight Jones looked at this years tributes.
"Eh, they'll do." Emerald scoffed.
"District 1 your tributes!" Meryse yelled.
Aries roughly shook Ruby's hand.
