Konan looked at him suspiciously. Yes, they indeed had made a deal with him, but she started to wonder what his dreams would ultimately lead up to. After all, he couldn't even reveal his face or true identity. How was it possible to truly trust this guy? But he had proven himself to be incredibly powerful already, so it would be too risky to take back the deal. Most of all, the Hidden was free of war now, thanks to his help.
"So, what do you specifically require?" Nagato also seemed to take a very good look at him.
"First we need members to move on as the 'Akatsuki'. We should have, let's say twelve members- not including me. We already have you and Konan, so with Zetsu that makes three. All you need to do now is get nine new members."
"Why not count yourself...?" Nagato wondered.
"I need to take care of things behind the scenes..." He folded his arms and paused. "When the time comes, I'll join in. Until then, you will be seen as the leader, understood?" After his instruction, Nagato and Konan stared at him for a moment, debating if they should ask any more questions.
But as rogue shinobi, and after closing the chapter of the Hidden Rain village, there was not much else to do for Konan and Nagato. Yes, they could try and change the world for themselves, but it was obviously too much for the two of them alone.
