Chapter 1: The Transferred
I can see a tall- thick marble boundary, it does not take off on my eyes even though the wheel of the limousine that I am riding is striding forward. This is probably what they called the most competitive school in the country. The Milliardaires school for girls like me, or the school for billionaire's daughters. This school is not ordinary because apart from being located in a hidden place that only those who really have admission to the University know, it is also regulated by the mysterious members of the student council. I don't know why I'm bothered by this school kahit wala naman akong inuurungan, it's just I feel something odd about their website. Think about it, all the mass media's of the world will tell you about how good this school was, how it brings privileges and fame to generations, but you can't browse anything inside of the school. Even a feeble pictures of the inside, as in none, only good feedbacks. Which is incredible, but dubious.
"I think you're thinking too deeply, ZuMie. Are you excited for your new school?" I was instantly elicited by the deep thought and nervousness of my speaking mother, who I'm sure I'm gonna miss for about 4 years in college. And yeah, my name is Zumie Real. And obviously, an ordinary girl for a well-known lastname. "Oh, I'm sure you're gonna regret it, Mom. Bakit ba kasi pumayag ka sa pasya ni Lolo Xander, eh okay naman ako sa Cross University." Pagmamaktol ko sa nanay kong pagdating sa pasya ng bilyonaryo kong Lolo ay wala talaga itong kahit isang commotion man lang. Nakakainis!
Well, I guess may mga katanungan kayong lahat sa mga pinagsasabi ko, about my billionaire grandpa and curious about where is my father. Hmmm... sad to say my father no longer exist in this world, and I'm now under by care of my Lolo Xander. It's a long wide story why an ordinary frog like me, turned into a princess real quick. As in, really early for me. But I'll cut the sentimental part for my sake dahil masakit parin sa akin ang mga nangyari. It happens kasi when my loving papa, secretly hides his identity, both mama and I have no idea that he was a big piece of a large corporation.
An inheritor of a big empire inhabits by my Lolo, at hindi pa rin maliwanag sa akin kung bakit nagawang takasan ni papa ang marangyang buhay. And why he chose to live in a hovel, where we used to stay. Yes, hindi kami ganoon kayaman back then, I even need a sponsorship from my former school, and that's Cross University. I hope time can help me know the reason of papa. And I hope enough na ang tatlong taon para makaget-over ako sa pagkawala niya. Tatlong taon niya na kasi akong iniwan. Kaya nang mabalitaan ni Lolo ang pagkawala ni papa, ay doon din namin nalaman ang katotohanan, nang magpakilala ito sa burol ng aking ama.
"Zumie! Hoy! Kanina pa ako nagsasalita rito. Ano ka ba!" 'Yan tuloy lalong lumalalim ang iniisip ko. Hindi ko tuloy namalayan si mama na kanina na pala akong sinesermonan.
"Sorry, mama." Maikling sagot ko, kasi hindi ko talaga siya narinig, para bang nag-pause ang lahat nang maalala ko si papa. Sobrang close kasi kami nun.
