Previously:

I heard the door behind me fly open cutting Mrs Feyrer off as someone said,

"Sorry I'm late"

My head spun around as I realized who it was and I had to stop myself from rolling my eyes.

"Ah, Mr Woods thanks for finally joining us," the principal said giving him a disapproving look before she turned her attention back to me.

"I was just explaining to Miss Scott that the reason she is here is because you insisted that I hear her explain what lead to her ending up in the infirmary yesterday," the principal stated with an underlying tone that almost seemed like annoyance.

"Of course he did," I muttered under my breath at the same time Mr Woods replied with,

"Right,"

"Well, let's not make this last any longer than it needs to be, Mr Woods why don't you come and sit down," Mrs Feyrer stated just as Mr Woods walked around the desk and took a seat in the no longer empty chair holding some sort of file to his chest.

"I do have quite good reason to organize this, have you seen her record," he said dropping the file onto the table and crossing his arms.

"Yes, I have," The principal said indifferently, "What about it?"

"So you know what she's done and you are still letting her stay at this school," he said in disbelief.

"It is none of your concern why I accept students into my school," she said assertively.

"So you know that she was kicked out of her last school because she hospitalized multiple students, on purpose," he said raising his voice a bit emphasizing the last part of the sentence while opening the file and pointing, making me raise an eyebrow.

"I'm aware," she said more sternly, still in the sweet, kind tone.

"Why would you let a teenager like that into this school," he retaliated not paying attention to the fact Mrs Feyrer was clearly trying to end the conversation.

Is it bad that I kind of wanted popcorn?

"Don't make me repeat myself, Travis," Mrs Feyrer said still keeping her voice level.

"She has done nothing but mess around, disregard her studies, be disrespectful to teachers, and last night she was found wandering the corridors covered in dirt and sticks, do you care to explain how that happened," he stated accusingly turning to me remembering I was in fact still in the room.

"Enough!" She stated with finality losing her cool for just a second before quickly covering it up with a tight smile as she glanced at me," Charlie you can go, it seems I need to have a talk with Mr Woods," she added her voice back to the kind tone she had displayed earlier.

I searched her face or body for any sign of anger or hostility but came up with nothing, she didn't even look slightly annoyed, she was completely unreadable.

Realizing I was openly staring I quickly jumped off the couch and opened the door to leave, I stuck out my tongue at Mr Woods and smirked hoping Mrs Feyrer didn't see it before I closed the door and started walking down the silent passages.

Yes, I know that was childish, sue me.

I walked around for a while until I eventually spotted Oliver sitting under a large oak tree on the other side of the field near the forest. Almost the whole school was outside, most of them were either sitting at the benches or on the recently trimmed grass chatting happily, there were a few teenagers running around, the biggest group being the boys on the other side of the field playing soccer.
