An Amazing Date

Ankoku's POV

Shoto and I have just left the U.A dorms and now we're walking to the park. As we're walking I keep my head down and stare at the sidewalk since I can't bring myself to look him in the face. He just looks so hot that I feel like im gonna faint right there if i look at him, and yea I know it probably sounds stupid since I've hung out with Shoto so many times before, but its different now. This is our first time hanging out as a couple, and its not just that. He's not wearing his normal casual clothes he wears when we usually hang out. I mean he's not wearing anything fancy fancy, but I can tell that he made an effort to look good for me, and I can't say I didn't do the same. I was practically freaking out this morning when I was getting ready. But thanks to Riri, Hina and Ochaco I was able to be ready on time. I still can't believe this is happening, I'm going on a date with my cute dual-haired bestfr- no, my dual-haired boyfriend. I start to smile and blush just thinking about being able to call Shoto my boyfriend. "Hey, Anko? You alright" I hear Shoto say which snaps me out of my thoughts. I go to look at him and then stop mid-way and go back to staring at the ground. "hm? oh yea im fine" i can see Shoto frown out of the corner of my eye. "Hey, Ankoku.. why won't you look at me?" I hear him ask with a hint of sadness in his voice. Upon hearing that I quickly look up at him, and look right into his heterochromatic eyes. "S-Shoto its not because I d-don't wanna look at you, i-its because, I c-cant look at you." I say as I look away from his eyes. "And why can't you look at me?" Shoto asks. The blush on my face darkens as I respond with, "B-Because you're s-so hot" I manage to say, keeping my eyes fixed on the ground. We have now stopped walking and we're standing there in silence. "Hey Anko, look at me one more time." Shoto says. "hm" I say as I lift my head up to look at him. As soon as my face is in front of his he connects his lips with mine in a short and sweet kiss. When he pulls away he looks at me and says, "Thank goodness, I thought you wouldn't look at me because I did something wrong, thank you for explaining that to me" He says before showing his beautiful smile. I still have a dark red blush on my face from the surprise kiss. "Y-You could never do anything w-wrong, now lets keep w-walking" I say as I slip my hand back into his, smiling up at him and we continue on our journey to the park.

Once we reach the park we go to the icecream stand and sit under a big tree. I rest my head on Shoto's shoulder as I begin to eat my icecream. "Are you sure this isn't too boring Anko?" He asks me once more. "Im sure, just being here with you like this is enough for me." I say as I continue to eat my icecream. "Ankoku" I hear Shoto say. "Hm?" I respond. "You know, I've liked you for quite a while now, even when you were with Bakugo." he sighs and then continues "I just didn't tell you because you seemed pretty happy in your relationship, and I didn't want to ruin our friendship. Because back then, being best friends was enough for me." He turns his head to look at me. "But now, I'm happy that I can be by your side, not as your best friend, but as your boyfriend." He smiles. At this moment, it feel like my heart is going to burst, he's absolutely adorable. I remove my head from his shoulder so I can sit up straight. "Hey Shoto can y-you lean d-down a bit?" I ask, embarrassed because of what I'm about to do. He leans down and I place a kiss on his lips, a blush forming on my face in the process. Shoto's eyes widen in shock as a pink blush makes its way onto his cheeks. "I think apart of me always liked you a little more than a friend, but I just dismissed those feelings since I thought I was pretty happy with Bakugo, but after we broke up, those feelings came right back and they were stronger than before. I would've told you how I felt sooner than I did, but I just couldn't do it because I hated the thought of being rejected, even after Ochaco told them that you call my name in your sleep sometimes" The blush on his face darkens, "How did she even know about that" he mumbles. "I heard that you know" I giggle. I rest my head back on his shoulder as we continue to eat our icecream in silence, but it's not an awkward silence It's a peaceful silence. Once we finish eating our icecream I feel Shoto rest his head on top of mine. "Shoto, you don't mind if we take a quick nap do you" I ask. "not at all" He says. I slowly close my eyes listening to my surroundings, the birds chirping and the wind blowing. Most people would probably think that this date is boring, but it really isn't. Maybe they'd like a fancy place better? or to go shopping, but me and Shoto aren't like that. Just sitting next to eachother and enjoying eachothers company is enough for us. We could sit in silence and it'd be the perfect date. I'm actually really glad that Shoto decided that we should go to the park, it's one of my favorite places since it's so peaceful. When I was with Katsuki he never took me to the park for our dates. He usually just went with what he liked, never really bothering to ask where I wanted to go, but I usually had fun when we went on dates so I didn't really complain. I shouldn't even be talking about him, I'm with Shoto now and I feel way happier anyway. I finally stop thinking about those things and started drifting off into a peaceful sleep.

I woke up to the sounds of a child screaming and crying. I quickly open my eyes and tap Shoto lightly to wake him up. "Shoto do you hear that?" I ask him "yea, it sounds like someone crying." We quickly stand up and go and search for the child. Once we reach the child, I look at the little girl and calmly ask her what happened. "I-I..lost m-my mom" the little girl says in between tears. I bend down and wipe her tears with my thumb "Hey, It's gonna be ok, we'll help you find your mom" I reassure, pulling her into a hug. "So do you think you can tell me what your mommy looks like?" I ask the little girl. "Y-Yea, she has brown hair and it's in a..ponytail" she responds, "Okay and what was she wearing" I ask her. "I... I don't remember" she says as she starts to cry even more. "Hey. its okay, we're gonna find your mom just like Anko said." Shoto says as he bends down and hugs the little girl with me. "Now, where was the last place you saw your mommy" I ask her in a gentle voice. The little girl calms down and starts describing the place

I take a deep breath as I try and picture the place perfectly in my head...
