"Please excuse us." I leave my napkin beside my plate and hurry out to him. "Muri..." I call as he hurries upstairs. I finally catch up with him as he reaches the end and turn to me with tears in his eyes. "I told you they wouldn't like me..."
"Muriel! THEY are in the wrong! I can assure you I'll educate them properly."
"I just... hate having to discuss...him."
"Perhaps getting it out will allow you to feel more comfortable about the subject?"
"Maybe..." He wipes his eyes and looks away.
"I promise it will all be okay soon..." I hug him tightly."Now dear, this is your room." My mother gestures to a large room with a view of the hills, "And this one beside it is Muriel's."
"Won't we be staying together?"
"I don't recall a wedding darling!" She chuckles, "Come along, its time for bed."I lie awake in my old room. It feels so strange yet familiar. My old paintings line the room and I can't even remember painting them, sheet music sits on the desk with songs I don't even know. I feel like I almost shouldn't be here. My thoughts cease as footsteps come from outside my door. I close my eyes and pretend to be asleep. "Y/n?" Muriel's soft voice makes me smile.
"Hello."
"I know we are supposed to be separate but I can't sleep without you."
"That's good I couldn't sleep either." I lift the sheets for him and he curls up, hugging my waist. "Hey..." I bring his head up so he's facing me and look at him, "it's going to be okay, you know."
He smiles, "You said that."
"I know I just want you to feel safe."
"I feel safe anywhere with you, it's okay."
I smile and press my forehead against his. He pushes his lips to mine and holds my face. This is strangely forward of him. I enjoy the moment and unbutton his shirt slowly as our lips dance together. He slides it off and pauses, "Do you think they'll be mad?"
"About what?" I pant.
"Me being here..."
"We'll just tell them we're married..." I kiss his chest and he blushes.
"M-married?"
"Pretend! We'll say we eloped and will be having a real wedding soon or something."
"Are you...proposing?"
"Well if that's what you want."
He thinks for a bit and blushes brightly, "We'll pretend for now but... I guess the real thing isn't so scary."
"Okay, hubby." I grin and suck his neck as he snorts.
"I've never even seen a wedding.."
"They're real pretty! So many flowers an friends."
"Like the forest?"
"Like if the forest and the palace had a baby. And everyone dresses posh."
"Ohh." He hugs me casually, "I guess it wouldn't be terrible to have one of those."
"Yeah! they're pretty like you." I grin and sleepily brush the hair from his face.
"Whats the honeymoon bit? Does the moon go yellow?" He furrows his eyebrows.
I blush a little, "It's... the consummation part..."
"consu- huh?"
"You... share the matrimonial bed?"
"What."
"You have sex. To honour the marriage."
"oH." He blushes brightly again as I shape his eyebrows with my finger, "So you don't do that ever until after the wedding?"
"Yeah, basically."
"And that's why you can't share beds??"
"Yeah it's apparently wrong for an unmarried couple to do that."
"So this is wrong?"
"Not if we 'eloped'."
"That makes it okay then?"
"Yep. We can do anything we like."
He blushes and stares at the ceiling, "I see." I smile and return to kissing across his chest. His face grows redder and I can see his mind is racing, "Is this...honeymoon?"
"Well...if that's okay with you..." I kiss his neck.
"Okay." He takes in a breath and turns to me as I smile. I feel his hands bring my waist closer as he tries to lead things. "It's okay, just do what feels right." I whisper in his ear and kiss his hand. He looks at me nervously and swallows, closing his eyes. His huge arms pull me to him and hold me tightly to his body. I bring my hips closer and kiss below his ear as his breathing picks up. I bring his lips to mine and kiss him deeply, wrapping my legs around him. "Okay..." he mumbles, finally taking off his shorts. I lift my nightgown and bring him on top of me, "Do whatever you feel comfortable with, I'll follow." He nods and slides in, immediately taking in a long breath. I tense up and get used to his size slowly as he checks my face for any signs of pain. "Move with your instincts." I stroke his face as he breathes deeply. He starts to move slowly but deeply, loosing himself in feeling. It's quite evident that this is all new to him and he is loving each moment. His height means that his chest is above me so I do all that I can to please him further and kiss him there. Some sounds escape my lips as he picks up the pace and begins to pant. "Muriel..." I breathe his name and curl my toes, "So good..." He becomes a little messier with his movements and lets out a hum as he finishes. I suck his lips as he falls down beside me, panting and sweating. Once again I fix his hair as he lies there in bliss, lips parted. "That was perfect." I nibble his ear and rest against his shoulder as he kisses my head. "The marriage is consummated now I guess."
