They met in kindergarten and ever since then they were inseparable. He was a boy who knew too much and she was a girl who knew too little, both of them had their own problems to deal with. But they both knew there was something going on at their school. They teamed up with twins, Lily and Billy to see what was going on. Penny almost died that day. Her own mother almost killed her. She almost pressed the button that would end Penny's short life. But she didn't, here's what happened.
Kid had restarted the day too many times, he had done this stupid mission too many times, he had watched Penny die too many times, he had completed the mission and heard Lily exclaim "We did it! We saved everyone!" Too many times.
There had to be a way, this couldn't be the ending. He needed to find a way to save the Android girl that had stolen his heart. He got to the part that he knew too well, right before it happened. Right before her mother killed her in front of everyone. But this time something different happened, something changed. Kid looked at Penny and he ached because he knew what was about to happen to her. But something changed this time. Instead of pleading with her mother until the button that ended her life was pressed she looked over at kid, their eyes locked and it felt like Kid had been zapped with a taser. Suddenly a look spread across Pennys face. A look of horror. As if she had just remembered something awful. She screamed at the top of her Lungs and swung for her mother. Tears streamed down her face. She screamed at her mother. Her mother had been knocked over and Penny looked at her with pure anguish. Penny sobbed. And then muttered, through sobs,
"I'm sending you to the principal's office."
Her eyes glowed a familiar red and a loud noise reminiscent of a gunshot rang. When the smoke cleared all we could see was Penny kneeing over her mother's dead body. Kid could not believe what he had seen. He stood there frozen. Lily took a stand and ran over to Penny. Penny weakly looked up at Lily. She attempted to stand but her knees gave in and Penny fell to the floor.
So this was different.
