Monday afternoon slowly rolled around and I kept looking at the clock to see when it would be 4. I was able to get off an hour early, with the promise I'd stay an hour later on Wednesday. A small price to pay.
As soon as I saw 3:59 flip to 4:00 I shut my laptop, shoved it in my bag and left, saying a goodbye to Rebecca as I dashed pass her desk. I told her about the date and gave her my phones location just in case.
The train was running a bit late, so I decided to text Harry.
"Excited about tonight! Should I dress casual or nice?" I sent him, just as I heard the train approach. Almost immediately I got a response.
"Casual is fine love. Can't wait to see you again!" I got butterflies at the response. I decided just to like the message.
I sat there smiling all the way to my stop. When I got off I practically sprinted to my flat, making a beeline for my room. I opened my closet and looked at what I had. I didn't go out much, so I didn't have many cute clothes, especially winter ones.
I eventually settled on some black leggings, and nice sweater, and some boots. Now, to figure out the face and hair.
I went to the bathroom and opening up my makeup drawer, staring at it. I didn't do my makeup often, usually opting for just mascara. I grabbed a palette that had pinks in it, and decided just to put some mauve eyeshadow on, along with eyeliner and mascara, do my brows, and then add some highlighter and lipgloss. I left my hair in its natural, straight state.
By the time I was done it was about 5:30. I put on my favorite perfume and sat down, Baby coming over wanting to be pet. I cuddled her for a couple minutes and gave her some food.
Before leaving I grabbed some gloves and my nice winter jacket. I texted Harry that I was on my way before putting my phone in my pocket and leaving. As I approached the grocery store, I saw him standing there, looking around.
"Harry!" I shouted, waving at him. When he saw me and jogged over. He was wearing black joggers with some sort of logo on them, a black jumper with the same logo, and a blue jacket.
"Hey Daisy!" He said and hugged me. Unexpected, but it was nice. I hugged him back, the scent of his cologne filling my nose. It wasn't a bad scent, which was good. He pulled away and offered me his hand.
"Shall we?" He said. I grabbed it and we started walking.
"So, where are we going?" I asked, as I took in our surroundings. Although it was freezing, London was beautiful on winter nights.
"We're going to get food at my favorite restaurant!" He said happily.
"But we didn't dress that nice!" I said, getting a little worried.
"It's not a fancy one, don't sweat it." He said and looked down at me. I smiled again and we continued walking for about 5 more minutes, making small talk.
"Wroetoshaw?" I heard some say behind us. I didn't pay any attention, but Harry turned around.
"Hey! What's up!" he said and high fived the teenager, who looked no more than 13.
"I'm a big fan of you and the rest of the guys!" Can I get a picture?" He asked, basically jumping up and down. Ok, who was Harry and why does he have fans. Who are "the guys"?
"Yeah of course. Do you mind taking the picture Daisy?" Harry asked me, looking a bit sheepish.
"Of course! Smile!" I said and pointed the phone at them, taking the picture.
"Thank you! Bye Harry!" The kid yelled and ran off, presumably to his parents. I looked at him, puzzled. He sighed.
"I was going ask the job question at the restaurant. I'll explain there" he said.
We walked for a bit longer and finally got to the restaurant.
"Nandos!" Harry said and laughed. I smiled at him, he was really cute when he laughed.
We walked in, got our food and found a seat. We ate for a couple minutes, taking in the good food and the warmth, then I asked him about what intrigued me most, his job.
"I make videos on YouTube for a living," he started, "a couple years ago my friends and I decided to form a group called the Sidemen. My personal channel has just over 15 million subscribers, and our group channel has almost 9 million." He said. I was in shock. This guy has the coolest job ever.
"So you just make and edit videos, and upload them? Thats it?" I said in shock.
"Well it's a little more than that but essentially, yes" he said and smiled.
"Way cooler than what I do. I work a desk job for a local London company." I laughed, feeling a bit embarrassed now.
"What company?"
"New Lites," I said, "it's a newer company, they make smart lighting that's affordable, and doesn't use that much energy. Not as cool as your job." I laughed.
We ate the rest of our food, learning new things about each other and laughing, until a worker came over to us.
"Sorry to bother you guys, but I just wanted to know we closed about 20 minutes ago" she said and smiled nervously.
"Oh my goodness! What time is it?" I grabbed my phone and checked the time; 8:20pm. Had it really been 2 hours?
Harry and I gathered up all of our trash and left. We made the walk back to my building, as I decided he wasn't going to murder or stalk me after this.
"This was fun Daisy. I had a really good time." Harry said.
"Me too. Want to do it again this weekend?" I asked, taking initiative, which isn't something I usually did. He smiled.
"Of course I would. Would you like to do Sunday breakfast?"
"I'd love that." I said and gave him a hug, which he reciprocated. We waved goodbye and I went up to my flat.
Now, time to look him up.
I grabbed my laptop and typed in the name I remembered the kid saying earlier.
"Wroetoshaw" I said aloud and pressed enter.
Holy shit.
This guy was like, famous famous. I clicked on the group profile, "Sidemen"
Oh wow. There's so many of them. I clicked though all their channels.
Vik, Ethan, Simon, Tobi, Josh, JJ, and Harry of course.
They all seemed like a great group of people. I wonder if Harry will ever introduce me to them.
I put on one of Harry's videos, and ended up falling asleep to the sound of his contagious laugh.
