I'm Just Dreaming

Chapter 2

Lila sits in her advanced geometry class to alex and talks to her during the teachers lecture, well actually she wants to concentrate but she cant keep quiet she has this need to keep talking, it's strange she knows it but still can't stop.

The teacher sees her favorite pupil talking in her class she becomes determined to humiliate her and asks," Lila can you tell me if a rectangle's side is 5cm and the other side is the square root of 144cm. What will be the area of the rectangle". Lila gets a little panicked but does the mental maths and tell a answer "it's of course 60cm".

There is silence throughout the class, everyone in the class almost jumping in anticipation. Lila overthinks " Oh, no! what if it's wrong then I wont be her favourite anymore I just want it to be right, WOW! why isnt she speaking already. OMG just speak up already".The teacher then says with much regret" Thank you Lila that is correct".

Lila grins having another small victory.

Leaving advanced geometry with Alex, Lila tells her it's time to ask out Liam because she has a 15 minute break.

Lila and Liam have painting class together they have talked a lot of times regarding the homework and Alex because Liam is the best friend of Josh who is Alex's big brother.

Josh is a real knucklehead and he is really mean to alex and Lila which really makes Lila's blood boil because if he wasn't Alex's brother she would have given him and earful on day one, and if he didn't listen even then he would maybe find the car he got for his 16th birthday this year wrecked by a special someone who hated him.

Lila made her way to Liam's locker, she knew he would be there as she had Alex look at his schedule to see when he has breaks from his class on everyday.

"Hi Liam" she said smiling."Hey Lila, you look lovely today" he said not at all in a flirting manner he genuinely thought that he looked beautiful from his heart.

Lila started blushing uncontrollably then she proceeded to ask him out for lunch. He looked surprised, but judging by how the whole school knew about her crush on him he was really dumb.

He said yes smiling. "Its a date then" he said, smiled and walked away.

Lila was very surprised she didn't even mention anything about a date,"well it's good then he likes me back"and then she went on to smile sheepishly.

She turned around to see Alex making her way towards her "judging by your smile I can tell that it went well, I'm so happy for you".
"I just can't stop smiling, it's like this is the happiest I'll be in life".

After three more classes Lila was Famished and she was basically running to the cafeteria after keeping her books in the locker, she didn't only run because she was hungry she also so had to catch a seat for her and Alex. Alex really didn't like to have a huge friend group so they sat alone.

She quickly took whatever she wanted for lunch and sat at the table, she didnt even wait for Alex to come she was about to start eating Liam came up to her table and asked if he could sit with her for lunch she nodded just as she was about to speak he cut her off–"even though you asked me to lunch I  asked just in case" he said while adjusting himself in the seat beside Lila.

Lila was embarrassed, she said" Liam you do realise I asked if you wanted lunch outside of school and also I don't think Alex would let you sit in her seat".

"Gotcha" Liam said laughing," I know what you meant I was just messing with you and about Alex I didn't know this was her seat she would probably yell me out of this seat".

"You know she's not as mean as she looks, if you are on her good side then good for you, but if anyone gets on her bad side they are done for it and Alex only likes selected people".

Just as Lila finishes talking Alex comes up to the table and realizes that Liam is sitting at the table and he's sitting on her seat.

Liam gets up on the sight of Alex, but she says" It's ok Liam I can just sit with Rachel instead you can sit with Lila" She smiles and winks at Lila and walks away.

Lila and Liam spend the rest of lunch break talking and laughing at each other's jokes.

After all their classes Alex and Lila rush to the school bus quickly taking their normal seat in the bus.

Alex is the first one to speak "so tell me what did you guys talk about at lunch I could hear you laughing from across the lunch room".

"Well we were talking about his family and apparently he has two younger brothers so he's a responsible guy and that's nice because I'm Soo not responsible or mature" she said.

They both laughed and then when everyone was coming to the bus, Josh came in laughing with his friends his hair curly and messy with a plain blue shirt. When he caught sight of Alex and Lila a devilish grin came on his face he told his friends "do you guys wanna see something" his friends were confused, their gaze followed him.

He walked up to Alex and Lila, before Lila could warn Alex he slapped the back of Alex's head she snapped back ready to murder the person who did that but she saw that it was her brother "what you want dumbass? why don't you go to the back of the bus where you can peacefully make out with the whole freshman grade" she said, every word dripping with sass.

"Yeah, just because you are Alex's brother doesn't mean that you can do anything to her, it also doesn't mean I won't stop myself from breaking your nose one day" Lila said glaring at him.

Josh laughed "oh really, how will you break my nose, by climbing a foot long ladder because with that height you can't do anything to me" he was right Josh is atleast half foot taller than her.

"I can try" she threatened him.

Josh looked at the phone on her lap and with light speed snatched it and started reading  the paragraph on her phone Alex and Lila stumbled to take the phone out of his grip but he was too strong.

"Oh I knew you were going out on a date with Liam but I didn't know you were in love with him, freak" he said.

Something snapped inside Lila without thinking or knowing Lila stood up from sitting she walked in front of Alex who was still sitting in her seat, her hand tightened into a fist and she punched Josh "Yes! He finally got what he wanted Thank god I wore my very tall heels today" she thought.

Red liquid dripping down from his nose, she quickly grabbed her phone from his hand and motioned Alex to stand up.

"That was crossing the limit Josh, It's torture enough having to see your face everyday in the bus"

"And next time If you do something like this again it won't be your nose I will be breaking, uh and also if I were you I might wanna get that checked up, tell the nurse I said hi" she smiled and then she walked out of the bus.
