The beginning
M/n
I was minding my business trying to get through life as it is.
There may be some racist people who would like to be away from or kill me, but I just ignore it.
Besides, there isn't much to say to the authorities if there was threat against me without proof.
However, I will try my best in helping other people in my neighborhood to get some food.
You see, my family and I live in a cheap apartment.
We at least have electricity, running water, and well paying jobs that end meets with our desire to live a normal life.
With the spare money we have earned, we would help the poor living on the street or poverty that are worth it.
If the person was a criminal, then we would try our best to defend ourselves and avoid them.
Who wants to be killed by a possible serial killer?
I ain't desperate to die.
Anyways, I was going to a Japanese restaurant to get the take out dinner I ordered.
Then I went back to a friend's house.
Once I had arrived to his house, we went to unpack the food and serve us our lunch.
"Ha, ha, ha. Lunch is served for us! So... how do you use chopsticks?"
"You seriously don't know how to use chopsticks and expect to just eat with a fork, spoon, and knife for every Asian cuisine you pay for each time since a little kid?"
"Yeah... sorry."
I tried to teach my friend until he got it.
"Hey! You don't just stick your chopsticks vertically in a bowl of rice! That is bad omen. Wait... What is that?" I said looking at a portal coming towards us.
(I have had chopsticks stuck vertically in my bowl of rice before. I am not offended by the meanings of it being related to a funeral by incense sticks stuck inside a bowl. I just have to remind my baba from not doing it sometimes and be warned by it's meaning of being a bad omen.)
Soon, the portal enveloped us until we were falling down a great fall.
Or...
I guess only me.
I have no idea where my friend went.
Later, I landed into a cherry blossom.
Yay for a safe landing!
Then the bowl of rice I had earlier landed with me.
"Cool! I still have something to eat for lunch." I said taking the chopsticks out of the rice bowl to use to eat the available food I had with me.
"Nani?" a boy said nearby me.
I just realized where I was.
I was a animated person that is seen in a anime.
I was also in Japan.
Good thing I could understand Japanese. However it is limited due to just learning the language through Japanese anime and manga books.
"Kon'nichiwa! Watashinonamaeha L/n M/n. Watashi wa amerikahitodesu de 15-saidesu. Hajimemashite!"
[Hello! My name is M/n L/n. I am a American and I am 15 years old. Nice to meet you!"]
"My name is Okumura Rin. I am native to this country and 15 years old as well. Nice to meet you. Say, why are you here?"
"I fell from a portal in the sky. Oh right! I need to call my friend to see if he is alright." I said calling my friend with the flip phone I had with me.
Apparently, he ended up just passing out for about 9 hours. However, he is okay.
After the call, I was strangely accepted into a different school.
"Hello! My name is Pheles Mephisto. I am the director of True Cross Academy. I welcome you to my school to enrich the students with the wonders of America. Also, you will be my first foreign student I had ever had. Including with a free scholarship, you are going to be entered into the Cram school I have. Just make sure you keep your magic powers a secret between everyone at school besides the teachers and the Okumura twins. Also be warned of the exorcist committee board." A strangely dressed guy said before I entered into a pink limo with Rin and I guess his brother.
We then rode our way to the school.
"Wow... I thought I never would have gone to such a big school in my life." I said viewing the school for the first time.
I have no idea which anime I am in, but I am going to enjoy it and survive as much I can in this world.
Besides, what is the harm in a foreigner trying to fit in with a school which is mostly filled with students who don't have much interaction with the supernatural world surrounding them.
Author Note
The title story picture was done by Wen.
Gùnbàng= stick or wand. (棍棒)
We don't know the color of black skin really well, so it is brown. Apologies? I think... Eh...
Wen: Black skins do look like brown though in reality. Right Mei Mei?
Shì (yes)!
In our opinions, no offense to skin color.
Pretty much it is just having more or less pigment than others.
Wen and I share the same account except Roblox which sometimes we switch taking turns on an account.
We were lucky to find our color pencils after looking behind the bed for its case.
For our markers, we are planning to see if their ink is there and not dried up.
