Angela's POV

It was cute the way Slenderman pulled up my chair and pushed it in when I sat down. He was acting like gentleman...really I'm not kidding! It was like he was getting all this stuff from a romantic comedy movie!

Slenderman's POV

Okay...things are going good! I have the food...the nice atmosphere...the manners. I just hope that nothing awful happens that ruins the date like in most of the romantic comedies I watch. All I need to do now is talk....

Angela's POV

I took a bite of the fish and oh my goodness! It tasted amazing. I swallowed and said in amazement, "I didn't know you could cook so well!" He smiled and said, "Well, when you have an infinite amount of time...you learn a thing or two..." If his face wasn't all white I swear he would be blushing. I guess he never really receives this kind of gratitude.

Slenderman's POV

Angela looked beautiful. Her dark hair was all glossy and the way her eyes sparkled in the candle light...sigh. She was beyond my wildest dreams. And she was nice too. She didn't run away in terror when I found her so that's a plus. But she was running from something...hmmm I'd have to look into that...but maybe a bit later. Right now I was having the time of my life!

Angela's POV

I tried to look for a conversation to bring up, but my words fell short. I couldn't think of anything to say. So I just tried to eat and study him for a bit. His suit was extremely clean and sharp while his face was that beautiful blank that just got me every time. I guess he could feel my uncomfortableness so he pipped up and said, "So what's it like going to school?" I had to suppress a giggle. He sounded like a little boy, with wonder and excitement in his eyes. But then again he doesn't have eyes...

I began to tell him about my classes and teachers. He enjoyed the ones where I was in art. I guess I described the paintings really well because by the end, he was on the edge of his seat. Then I got into cheer leading, which wasn't bad, but then I got to my social life and that's when things started to turn a bit...bad.

Slenderman's POV

When she started to talk about her do called "friends" I noticed a change in her. She seemed to be fidgety and mumble a lot. The unease that suddenly hung in the air started to effect me too. Whatever it was, it wasn't good. But all I just wanted to do was help her. Help her feel better. So when she looked like she couldn't take it anymore, like she was about to cry, I place my hand over hers. She looked shocked at first, then her lips perked up into a smile. This seems to get us through the rest of the meal.

Then we got to her boyfriend.

I didn't even know she had one. She never talked about him, but I guess she had a reason to. She said that he didn't really care about her, how he only like her for her face. It took all my might not to track this guy down. A deep boiling hate rumbled inside me. I've never hated anyone before. I've never had a reason. But I guess now, I do. And she's sitting right in front of me.

That was the night I realized that I loved her.

Angela's POV

He listened more than he talked. I guess he didn't like talking much. But when I started to talk about James, he put his hand on mine. Warmth immediately spread through me and I melted under his touch. Is this how it's supposed to feel? When you're in...in...

My train of thought stopped when I saw Slenderman notice the bruise on my arm. I looked down and saw that James's grip must've cause the purple to form. He delicately held up my hand, but asked fiercely, "What. Is. This?" I pulled away.

"It's nothing." I said with a wince as I applied pressure to the area. I didn't even have to touch it hard. I watched as he studied me with balled fists.

"He did this to you...didn't he?" He whispered coldly. I didnt want to lie so I stayed silent. He got up and kneel down in front of me. I looked at his blank face wondering what was going to his head. He suddenly grabbed my wrist, not hard, just firm. I have heartedly tried to pull away, but he held me down. Slenderman then leaned down and softly made a trail of kisses on my bruises. I had to suppress a squeak in surprise. My arm was on fire, my brain was melting. His lips felt so soft on my skin, like velvet. I hungered for his lips to kiss mine, but I just let him do this. I closed my eyes, savoring this delightful sensation.

When I opened them, I gasped. My bruises were gone! There wasnt a trace of purple left! I stated at him in shock and saw him smile at my surprise. I then sputtered like an idiot, "Wha-What? How did you-"

"It's a simple trick that my kind learn." He said softly.

Slenderman's POV

The trick could only be for the one you truly care for. It's like having the one you love in pain would cause you pain so we have this power to heal our uh...mates. Or so that's the definition! I am NOT calling Angela a...mate. That would be weird and seriously creepy.

I wanted to tell her how I felt. How much I loved her because I do. I've never felt like this way about anyone and it was amazing how good it felt. It was like all the fear, the sorrow, the lives that I had taken were slowly being washed away every time I looked into those dark eyes. She was my world, all I could ever hope for. Love had been an impossible dream that I craved for every moment and it was coming true. All thanks to Angela. My heart hammered against my chest and I was afraid it was going to rip out of my suit. I love her. I love her. I love her!

"Thank you." She said softly. Her voice snapped me back to reality. I realized I was still kneeling on the ground. I'm glad that I didn't blush because if I did, my face would be tomato red right now. I nodded quickly and got up to sit back down. I hoped I didn't scare her while I was angry. She seemed to be a lot calmer though. Her eyes grew darker, if possible, and she bit her lip as if in contemplation.

"What's on your mind?" I asked, trying to pretend that it isn't a big deal, a simple question. But on the inside I wanted to know everything she was thinking.

Her eyes flickered to me as she said, "Well...I saw you had a radio and I...nah it's stupid."

"Oh come on!" I pleaded.

She then said, "Would you um...like to dance?" Her words stunned me. She wanted to dance...with me? Well, she came to the dinner. I guess she cares about me somewhat.

So I stood up, offered my hand and said, "Angela...it would be my genuine pleasure."

Angela's POV

Slow music started to fill the air as he rested his hand on my waist and my arm around his neck. We started off with a pretty big gap between us, but as the dancing grew on, I found myself getting closer to him until I found my head on his shoulder. He shivered and his breath quavered. I wondered if he was cold.

As the third song came on, Slenderman murmured in my ear, "So you really aren't afraid?" I lifted my head and looked at him. I could tell by his body language he was really curious to know.
