~soldiers P.O.V~

I just woke up when I heard a some noises. I figured it was some kind of animal that crept into the outpost. I immediately yawned when I got up. After helping myself to a sip of water, I put on my shirt that I put on under my actual uniform,and took a peek outside. Torcher was on the bench, cleaning off his flame thrower. I knew I was making quite alot of noise since his head perked up to look at me. I haven't seen him without his mask on for a while,but it was understandable.
"Hey soldier,didn't expect you waking up so early," torcher said. "Well I heard some noise,but I'm guessing it was you," I replied. I shivered,due to the cold air caused by winter. "You should probably put on a coat or something to keep you warm," torcher said. "I probably should before I get hypothermia,be right back!" I replied. I quickly scurried back to my bed and pulled a coat from one of the shelves and put it on,and sprinted to where torcher was. "Mind if I sit with you?" I asked, slightly blushing. "Sure,I don't mind," torcher replied, scooching over to the other side of the bench to make room for me. There was an akward silence for a moment till torcher said,"so..how is your injury healing up?" He said awkwardly. There were 3 people who suddenly arrived at the outpost quite a long time ago. One had a name tag above their head saying ~insert player name~. The other was a pony who had a wooden sword. And the last one I'm sure everyone hated the most,was a zebra. She was stabbing all the infected soldiers. Did she know that our body's moved on their selfs? Did she know that we couldn't control ourselves? Obviously not. She barley missed me though her weapon did peirce me in my side,and that's how I got an unforgettable scar. "It's healing up pretty good so far," I said. "I'm glad to hear that,that stupid zebra didn't hesitate to hurt one of my most favorite pers-" he hesitated to say the rest and blushed a bright red. "I meant to say one of my most valuable soldier..!" I laughed a bit, causing him to blush even more,and putting on his gas mask to hide it. I blushed quite a bit too. We've been best friends for a really long time now...okay fine I'll admit it. I wanted to be more than friends with him. He was so caring and loving,he would always defend me no matter what. So that's why we swore an oath to protect eachother no matter what the cost. All I'm nervous about is telling him my true feelings.
