Chapter 12

Sana's POV

I woke up with a headache. I looked at the mirror and my face looks so horrible.

I remembered my mother comforted me last night but I don't think it was real. "She never comforted me before. Why now that she hates me even more?" I whispered.

Suddenly someone knocked on my door, it was Jihyo.

"Sana, are you okay? I'm sorry they didn't let me see you last night" she said sadly.

I hugged her and said "It's okay Jihyo" she hugged me back and kissed my forehead.

"Momo escaped last night" she said which made me gasped.

"How is she? Is she okay?" I asked.

"Yes she is, she was knocked out last night because she was so loud looking for you" she said.

"Thank you my sister" I said then hugged her tighter. She then started crying. "Hey, don't cry" I comforted.

"I'm sorry I am a bad sister. I can't protect my little sister" she said while still crying.

"No hey, don't say that. You were awesome. Because of you I met Momo and lived a happy life even for a short period of time" I smiled and kissed her cheeks. "You will be the best queen. Please tell your kids about me, just the good stuff" I added which made her cry even more.

"N-no, you are the one who will tell them your stories" she replied which made my face saddened.

"You know there is no hope for my life right? I already accepted my fate. As long as you guys and Momo are safe, I'm okay with it" I said as Jihyo hugged me tighter. "Be careful Jihyo, I love you don't forget that" I said as a guard entered and guided me outside. My execution is about to start.

The guard led me to the throne room.

"Ehhh? Why in the throne room and not in the execution hall?" I asked confused.

When we arrived in the throne room, my father, mother, Jihyo, high rank officials and guards are already there.

I bowed and looked on the floor.

"Face up, Princess Sana" my father said. I moved my head up and looked at them.

His right-hand again opened a scroll. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Princess Sana of Amara. Do you deny killing your late husband the king of our ally kingdom?" he asked.

I shook my head "No Sir" I answered truthfully.

"Do you deny attempting to kill our crowned princess, your sister" I looked at Jihyo and shook my head.

"Do you deny killing our high adviser?" I shook my head again.

"Witness please come out" he said.

"I thought I will be executed? Why is it that it looks like I am on a trial again?" I thought.

Then a servant from the old king's kingdom appeared. "Ehh?" I was confused. He started talking, all ears and eyes are on him.

"That night before the king died, he was talking to Amara's high adviser" he said, I gulped.

"They were contemplating a plan to attack Amara and kill the royal family" he continued. "I saw princess Sana hiding and listening to them".

Then another servant came in. "I will continue with the story" the second servant said.

"I heard Princess Sana arguing with the king. The king threatened the princess about killing Amara's royal family so they argued more. Princess Sana went in rage. All of a sudden, the king was unable to breathe. He called for help but Princess Sana was in panic and got frozen".
