(*sippppssss tea* Okay I can explain why I haven't updated
I really cant I've just been blegh
So yall getting this because my feelings are being a beep)It was two AM, which wasn't that late. Plenty of people stay up far past when they should be sleeping, but, nowadays, does anyone really need to be sleeping at a given time? You knew that your housemate, Sylvie, was often up pretty late. This came as quite a shock because you didn't know he was such a night owl. You always just assumed that, due to his day job, he was awake and asleep at reasonable hours.
You were incorrect. You had learned this a few nights ago while making yourself tea in the kitchen at about four AM. Sylvie had come in to make himself coffee. it was very awakward.
Anyway, you had no idea what you were doing, but you didnt quite feel like sleeping. Even if you didnt, you didnt think you could. It was pretty early, at least, for you.
You spent an hour drawing. It wasent somthing you had really planed out, but you were proud of it nonetheless.
It was now four in the morning. You rubbed your eyes a bit, but werent tierd. Your lids felt wrinkled, not heavy. You closed them. It didnt feel right, so you opened them and did somthing for another hour.
It was at this point you realized you wished you could fall asleep, becouse it was 5:30. You didnt have to get up early, but you didnt look forward to the dicombobulated feeling falling asleep and waking up so early gave you.
Just becouse you wanted something dosent mean it happened and before you knew it the sun was riseing outside the window. You stood up and stretched. Your bones creeked like a dieing forest, and you werent entirely sure you were thinking. Anywho, you walked out of your room and decided to go sit in the morning air.
Something about the world before it was alive but after it was pitch black made you very happy. You walked out your front door and into the driveway. The air was a plesant, warm feeling, and the air smelled like morning. Not like geting into the car half asleep to go to school morning, just morning. You looked at the skyline.
You never had been sure how to describe the feeling the sunrise gave you but it felt important. So, for that reason, you laid back in the driveway. The concrete was rough and warm against your skin. You looked at the sky.
The door clicked open. You looked behind you. Sylvie was there. He looked exausted. Had he just woken up?
"Mornin." You said to him. your voice sounded far off and you felt the way your voice sounded mixed with the air.
"Good morning." *Sylvie said, running his fingers through his hair awakwardly. "I didnt expect you to be out here"
"I couldnt sleep, and I like the mornings." You said with a shrug, looking back out at the sky and laying down.
Too your suprise, he sat down next too you. "Me too."
There was a hevey siolence. You didnt mind.
"So, anything in particular keeping you up?" You asked him.
He shook his head. "Nah, I just.. cant sleep. Im... not sure why." He said with a murmur. "But, Im a very smart collage graduate, so im sure ill figure it out."
"If you ever do make sure you tell me." You said. "I'd love to know how to fall asleep." You laughed a litte. It must have sounded like a very fake laugh, even though something felt funny, becouse Sylvie looked at you.
"Y/n?" He asked. Looking at his face, you saw that his eyes were lidded. Hevily.
"Yeah?" You replied.
"Do... you know what my epithet is, by chance?" He asked, looking almost confused.
"Nope." You said, popping the P. you wondered if you looked as tierd as he did.
He sighed, and then smiled. "I can make people fall asleep."
"I wouldnt doubt it." You said, sleep deprivision getting to you. "Your voice is very calming."
He looked at you for a long second. "No.... Y/n, my epithet... can make people sleepy."
Oh. Oh. Oh no. crap, did you just accidently flirt with him. crap.
"Oh, thats cool." You said, trying not to look as guilty as you felt.
"...If youd like, I can help you fall asleep?" He asked, siting up a bit strighter. "I am quite great with my epithet." He was trying to sound dignified, but his voice broke. It ruiend the effect.
"That would be nice." You said, siting up.
"Well, then, should we.. go in?" He asked you.
You stood up tierdly. "Yup, sure." Your bones were creeking again as you walked inside. You and sylvie walked into your bedroom.
"Alright. Just, lay down, and ill put you to sleep." He said.
You laid down, looking at him standing over you. His pink hair fell over his eyes. It was kinda cute. "Thanks." You said.
He put a hand on your forhead. his hands were very warm, and his voice was very sweet. He moved his hand away. You kinda wished he wouldnt have, but you felt like there was a sandstorm under your skin where it was, like..
like somthing soft,like....
You couldnt finish your thought before you were out.
