■ On Saturday Last week , bighit suprised all armys and netizens with the news of jimin leaving the group after 5 years being with them with 1 year of hiatus , however bighit did not say anything further about this information , leaving everyone in confusion.
■ Yesterday , Bighit released a statement regarding the current issue and this is the translation of the statement.
(STATEMENT BY BIGHIT ENT.]
Hello , this is Bang Si Hyuk , CEO of big hit entertaiment. For the past few days , an issue has been going on and became the talk of the town. Im going to clarify everything , hopefully everyone can understand our final decisions.
Jimin has decided to left the group. He has been planning to go solo for years , producing , composing his own music. At the same time , he doesn't want to leave BTS as they are the one who made him today ,
"There wasn't a day without me thinking about leaving the group. I talked to my manager and the members about it every month , wether it's the right choice or not." -jm
"However , as much as i want to stay in BTS , my passion to be a soloist is so much stronger. Being a member of a boyband is already tiring as our schedules are pack each month , then being a soloist is out of the list as i couldn't do two different things at once." -jm
"The reason why i choose to leave the group is because i have to put my priorities first. It was my dream to become a producer and composer for my own songs for since i was a kid. But in order to devote myself to be a soloist , i have to focus more on it. However , being in a boyband group is making it harder as i have to focus more on the group activites. Meaning i have no time to prepare or practise for my solo career." -jm.
After talking with the members yesterday , we have come to conclusion that jimin will be leaving the group to start on his solo career. However , he is still under Big Hit entertaiment. All bts members accepted his decisions with open hearts and told him to keep on moving eventhough he has to start from square one.
We hope fans will give jimin the support that he needs and wait for his first solo career.

■ BTS's members posted pictures of them with jimin yesterday with captions like "soloist jimin" "im going solo" "goodluck for your solo jm!"
■ All of them asked for fans support and say their friendship will remain the same as he only left the group , not their friendship.
