soon enough, a few weeks pass and taehyung and jeongguk still haven't spoken. jimin /tried/ to set him up with some of their other classmates like bogum, hyungsik, and minho but they just "weren't enough" according to taehyung.

jeongguk, on the other hand, was still in a toxic relationship without knowing. yoona was cheating on him. whenever he asked her about it, she would say that it was just "school work" or "family business". jeongguk, oblivious to the real situation, just nodded and let her do her thing.

taehyung sighed, "i miss gukkie.." he mumbled as seokjin whispered under his breath, "'i miss gukkie' count 278.."

suddenly the power went out and taehyung started panicking. "m- minnie-" he muttered. "wh- where's.." he told as hoseok spoke, "he went out to get food." taehyung's eyes widened in shock when the first person he called was jeongguk.

'm scared.." taehyung speaks into his phone weakly. jeongguk had unblocked him because he didn't like the guilty feeling of blocking him. jeongguk sighed, "alright, alright, just stay there. i'll come just relax and turn the flashlight from your phone on." he said in a soothing voice as taehyung nodded shakily. "o- okay.." he muttered. "thank you, gukkie, i lo-" jeongguk hung up before he could say anything as he sighed a bit.

jeongguk arrived soon after and knocked on the door. taehyung rushed to it, opening the door as he engulfed jeongguk in a hug. "i missed you.." he whispered as jeongguk chuckled and picked him up and carried him to his room and cuddled him as taehyung began to calmed down.

he huffed when jeongguk's phone started ringing. "gukkie.. make it stop.." he whined. jeongguk sighed, grabbing his phone and picking up. "hello?" yoona's voice was heard, "baby, where are you?" jeongguk widened his eyes. "i'm-" he was cut off. "i already know where you are, don't try," she said and huffed. "remember what i said? don't talk to him." jeongguk groaned, "no! you can't tell me what to do! he's my friend, best friend actually- and when i'm happy you just take it away. our whole entire friend group has fallen apart because of you!" yoona gasped. "what did i do?! he's annoying!" she said as jeongguk clenched his fist. "at least he's there for me when i need him! you're always doing 'family stuff' and 'school work' do you know how lonely that is?!" he yelled as yoona huffed. "fuck you," she hissed and hung up.

jeongguk sighed softly, looking down at his arms. "tae?!" he widened his eyes and got up as he looked around for him, him being on the couch and asleep. "god, he's so cute." he muttered, picking him up and bringing him to his room. "cuddles.." taehyung whined. he nodded. "i know, i know," he whispered softly. "mngh.." taehyung groaned. "gukkiee.." he mumbled as jeongguk set him down and cuddled him.

taehyung snuggled into him as jimin walked in. "hey tae- kook! what are you doing?" he asked and glared at him. "don't you have a girlfriend to go to?"

jeongguk huffed, "no." he said and jimin's eyes lit up. "you broke up?!" he asked, shocked, as jeongguk glared slightly, "no, we just argued." he said and jimin rolled his eyes. "move-" he mumbled and jeongguk got up as jimin lied next to taehyung and cuddled him, jeongguk staring.

a few days had passed and jeongguk and taehyung were at the store until taehyung heard a familiar giggle. "no way," he mumbled and looked at jeongguk, who also heard the giggle. he grabbed jeongguk's sleeve and led him around the corner of the aisle, it was yoona with an unknown male with his arm around her waist. "oh shit.." taehyung muttered as jeongguk huffed and walked over. "yoona! what the fuck?!" he yelled as she pulled away from the man. jeongguk scoffed. "i can't believe you," he said accusingly and she looked at taehyung. "i can't believe YOU. you still talk to him!" she said and pointed to taehyung. "he's my best friend! i'm not dropping him like that. and him!" he pointed to the man she was with, "who the HELL is that?" the man smiled innocently and replied, "her boyfriend!" she widened her eyes and face palmed. "ggukkie.." she said softly and held his hand, but he immediately pulled it away. "don't call me that. we're over!" he snapped and walked away

taehyung frowned, "are you gonna be okay, gukkie?.." he asked as jeongguk broke down, taehyung hugging him. he went to the cashier and paid. "c'mon let's go on a walk to calm down, yeah?" he said as jeongguk nodded, "y- yeah.."

the two went to a small park as they reminisced about the past, "oh my god do you remember how we said we were gonna get married when we're older?" jeongguk said as taehyung laughed. "don't remind me, we were like five." he said. taehyung gasped, "do you remember your gay awakening?" he said as jeongguk snickered, "oh my god,"

"wow.." taehyung laughed, "it's been.. so many years, hasn't it gukkie?" he said as jeongguk smiled. "i love you." taehyung told as jeongguk grinned, "i love you too, no homo."
