Friday Morning...
Normani POV:
I was currently at the shop sweeping around my area. I finished my last head around 15 minutes ago and I was getting ready to head out. I was still going out with Jeremiah later but I was going to run some errands and maybe take a nap to kill time.
10 minutes later...
"Alright ladies I'm out for the day." I heard numerous 'byes' and 'see you laters' from around the shop. I got in and started my car and let out a sigh.
For some reason I started to get nervous about tonight. That's strange. It's not like it's a date so I really shouldn't be that nervous. Or is it? I brushed off the thought and decided not to think about it too much.
Later that evening...
It was around 4:30 and Rocko said he'll be here by 6 so I decided to start getting ready. After my shower I washed my face and brushed my teeth then walked into my closet. I didn't know what to wear so I FaceTimed Ryan.
"Heyyy best!" She answered the phone. I smiled and said "I need help finding an outfit." She asked where I was going and I told her out with Rocko. "Girl is it a date? Please tell me it's a date. Cause I totally ship y'all." I playfully rolled my eyes and replied, "No it's not date. At least I don't think so.
We're just hanging out as friends. Besides I don't want it to be a date anyway." She sighed and looked at me disappointed and I scrunched my eyebrows together. "What the hell you looking at me like that for?" I asked. "Girl I know this ain't about lil dookie booty." She said rolling her eyes which caused me to laugh. She was referring to my ex, Trey.
We broke up a little over a year ago over some bullshit he did. I rolled my eyes and said "Girl no I'm over that." After we broke up I didn't feel like myself anymore. He made me feel so useless.
It took me forever to come up out of the hole I was in and since then I promised to never let a man make me feel like that again.
I really haven't even gave another guy a chance since.
45 minutes later...
After getting off the phone with Ryan I decided to get dressed in an orange and white sweat suit with my white forces. Not too much not too little. I sprayed on some perfume and applied some lipgloss and looked in my mirror and I heard a knock. "Coming" I yelled. I walked and opened the door and there stood Rocko.
"Hey" I said giving him a hug. "Wassup boo" he smiled back. I laughed and said "you smell nice."
"Thank you" he said. "You look and smell good." He said. I blushed and said "thank you. You ready to go?" He nodded his head. I grabbed my purse, phone and keys and locked the doors and we headed out. When we made it down to the garage to his car he opened the door for me. I replied "Thank you" and looked around the vehicle.
He had a black 2020 Mercedes AMG G 63. "You like it?" He asked. "Yeah it's nice on the inside and out." I said. He chuckled and pulled off. "Umm where's your seat belt sir?" I asked confused. He looked at me and laughed but stopped when he saw I was serious. "Oh shit you serious?" He asked. "Um yea safety first. Now put it on please." He smacked his teeth and put it on.
1 hour later...
Jeremiah POV:
After an hour of driving and talking we finally pulled up to the arcade. I got out and walked over to open her door. "Thank you" she looked up at me smiling. "You welcome." She walked ahead of me and I couldn't help but to look at her ass. I shook my head at my unholy thoughts.
We walked in and it was a little crowded. We walked to the front desk to get some cards and the cashier turned around and it was the girl from the club, Coco. She sucked me up 2 times but that was all. I cut ties with her 2 weeks ago when she started talking about a relationship.
"Hey Rocko." She said looking at me. I gave her a head nod hoping she wouldn't start no mess. "Who's this?" She asked with a attitude I sighed and Normani laughed. "What the fuck is so funny?" She asked Mani. Mani looked at her and said "Oh no baby not you being jealous. But I'm his friend mani."
Coco huffed and said "Well your friend has been fucking ME. Did you know that?" I sighed out of frustration "Listen Coco mind ya fuckin business and stop lying. I never fucked you. The lil thing we had ended weeks ago. All I wanted was you to give me head. Move on with ya life. You was nun to me ."
I grabbed Mani hand and walked out of the building. I looked down at her for a minute just admiring her beauty. "Look I promise you me and her ended weeks ago. And I never had sex with her. I'm sorry you had to go through that." I told her looking in her eyes being honest.
"It's ok that is totally your business you don't have to explain yourself to me. Besides we're friends, it's all cool." She said. Friends. She uses that word real heavy. I shrugged it off though. "Let's go back inside though she doesn't bother me." She said smiling. I grabbed her hand and we walked back in.
This time it was a different cashier there who helped us. We got our cards and just started walking around. "Oouuu I bet I can beat you in basketball." Mani said excited. I don't know why but seeing her happy and smiling made me happy. Weird. "I doubt it but let's go."
Omniscient POV:
Coco stood there watching Rocko and Mani with a apparent mug on her face. She couldn't help but think that should be her and not mani. She doesn't handle rejection well.
She felt herself falling for Rocko even though they didn't hang out that long. In her mind they were meant to be. She blamed Mani for it all. "This isn't over" she whispered to herself. "This is far from over. She finished before walking off.
Her coworker Crystal heard her talking to herself and mumbled "Weird bitch."
3 hours later...
Jeremiah POV:
"I had fun tonight thank you again." I was walking her to her door just to make sure she got in and everything. After the arcade we went to Apple Bees. "No problem, I'm glad you had fun."
I looked at my phone and saw it was 10:36. "I'm sad it has to end" she said as we made it to her door. "Well the night it still kind of younggg." I said dragging it out. She laughed and stood thinking for a minute and looked up at me. "Well would you like to come in?" She asked.
"Sure." I said and we both laughed and walked in. "You can make yourself comfortable I'm about to shower and get changed. I nodded and took a seat. She came back a little over 20 minutes dressed in some black leggings and a white tank top. She looked good.
She came and sat by me and asked "What you want to watch?" I put her feet in my lap and said "it don't matter." She put on Poetic Justice. I started rubbing her feet just staring at her. "What are you looking at? It's rude to stare you know " She said. "You" I smiled. "You are so gorgeous." She started blushing like crazy.
"Thank you." She tried to hide her face with her hands but I moved them. "Nah what you covering up for." I said laughing. "Becauseeee" she said. She covered her face again so I just started tickling her. "Please stop" she said laughing uncontrollably.
I stopped and we stared into each other's eyes and all of a sudden I got the urge to kiss her. I leaned in slowly and surprisingly she met me half way. We kissed a for a minute and pulled away slowly. It was like I was stuck.
She cleared her throat and said "Umm I'm gonna go to the bathroom" and walked off. I sighed leaning back against the couch.
