Kokichi x Reader : Storm

(A little bit of angst in this one)

It's cold and quiet, I'm here alone in silence. I lie here in bed, trying to fall asleep. The rain pouring down outside loud,and I hear the thunder roaring. Every flash of lightning seems to make me feel more anxious. What if I end up all alone again, I don't think I could bear it. The tears start streaming down my face, I don't want to be alone. Just then I hear knocking at my door.

"Y/N -chan? You in there?"

I steady my voice and quickly wipe away my tears.

"The doors unlocked Kokichi, you can come in."

The small purple haired boy walked in.

"Geez Y/N -chan, do something about your room will ya? It looks so boring here." He said nonchalantly

Another crash of lightning, I jump at the sound.

"Huh? Y/N -chan, your shaking. You doing okay?" His purple eyes looked towards me confused and a bit concerned. I didn't want to worry him, but I couldn't steady my voice in time. I chose just to nod instead. Kokichi shook his head and walked towards me.

"That was a lie wasn't it?" He sat on the bed next to me and held me close. His fingers gently went through my hair, comforting me.

"There there Y/N, it isn't fun when I know you're lying about being okay when you're all sad." He spoke gently, and faced me towards him looking into my eyes. "It's no good if you hold it all inside, let it all out okay? I'm here for you, so please don't lie about your feelings." I broke down and started sobbing into his arms. I don't know how long I stayed in his embrace, it was silent with the sounds of the storm behind us. But he held me tightly through it all, reassuring me every few minutes. I started to feel drowsy and my eyes were shutting.

"Hm? Oh, you're tired aren't you?" He gently moved my head to my pillow and got up. I was too tired to say anything, so I reached out to him. He gently grabbed it, our fingers intertwining.

"It's okay Y/N, I won't leave you alone. I'm right here okay?" He let go for a second and grabbed a stool, putting it right by the bed. He sat there and held my hand again. "I'm right here."

I felt tears welling up again, and I smiled. After a while sleep began to overtake me. The last thing I saw before I fell asleep was Kokichi bending over and kissing my forehead gently.

"Goodnight sleepy head," he whispered.

When I woke up again, I saw him there. He was still on the stool, but was leaning against the bed fast asleep. I gently stroked his hair.

He kept his promise.
