Hi, my name is Lauren Keyes. I am 17 years old and I live in Dallas, Texas. I have a sister, Jamie, who is 15 and we live with our parents, Kristen and Jared in a nice neighborhood. My dad and I don't get along at all. He is an alcoholic and was very physically abusive growing up, he has gotten better about be ing physical but the drinking has been worse. We have a large house with two dogs who keep it very "home"-y feeling.
I go to Southern High School where I am a senior this year. Jamie is a sophomore but she is the captain of the varsity cheer squad. She practically rules the school already. Jamie is gorgeous, funny, outgoing, talented, smart, and well pretty much everything I want to be. Me? Yeah, I am just the shadow casting behind her. I am not ugly but not pretty, I'm not dumb but not smart, I am perfectly average at everything I do. No matter what I do, I'm just average and it is quite possibly the most annoying thing ever.
I have blue eyes and blonde/red hair that most people just call strawberry blonde. I have glasses with black frames and I don't like to wear short very much because I am very self-conscious over my thighs. I will wear dresses and skirt and jeans but never shorts unless it is for sports. While we are talking about sports, I play volleyball and golf but I am not a star player in either. I don't really have any best friends, I just have "school friends", you know the type you only see at school? Anyways, I love my life but there are definitely so many things I would change if I could. I would change to be like Jamie. I want to be popular, gorgeous, and just everything she is. I want to have really close best friends and I want to have a boyfriend. I want a guy that makes me feel so special and important and loved.
I want what Jamie and Josiah have. Josiah is Jamie's boyfriend of 2 years now and they are the cutest couple ever. He is a junior, 16, and they run the school together. It is weird because the seniors should run the school but it was different here.
Everything here is different and special except me.
