Totally just made a word up. It doesn't matter cause when it comes to best friends, you'd do anything for them.

My best friend.

Leilani Roos, that's her name. She's always got this serious look on her face. You can actually mistake her for a depressed person sometimes.

But she's a child at heart. You just have to get to know her better. Don't judge a book by its cover!

We met in the 5th grade when our teacher Ms. Bonnie sat us at the same table. A guy sat in our table as well.

Jake Roos.

It was funny they had the same last name....and he liked Leilani!

Everyone would think it was a coincidence. Leilani, however, didn't like him back. She would always tell me stuff about him and pretty soon our conversations turned into other conversations aside from Jake.

She had other friends at the time. They didn't treat her well. She didn't like them. So she started to hang out with me.

But I had a friend too. Alice Cassidy. Alice didn't like how I would hang out with Leilani more than with her. So we grew apart.

When middle school started Alice's childhood best friend, Yasmin Mendez, came back. Yasmin didn't like me. She would say stuff about me, but Alice insisted on hanging out with Yasmin.

I said no.

So since then I've been hanging out with Leilani. I discovered what true friendship is.

This isn't a true story by the way..... I decided to make a story about true friendship and I decided to make it a little similar to mine, but it's not all going to be completely true. I changed some names and made up some scenes because of privacy issues.
