It was early in the morning, the sun had just risen, and Andrew was already up. He didn't sleep well, the reason behind this was the person sleeping beside him; Carl was Andrew's new partner, and in comparison to others, he was tender and kind, 'ah... what a waste' Andrew thought to himself, he knew it wouldn't last long just like everybody else.
A few minutes later, Andrew felt the body beside him move, he had already woken up. "...Morning" said a deep voice, Andrew turns to the other side, seeing Carl's smiley face. "Good morning," Andrew said as a response; not so long after, Carl stood up and started dressing, "where are you going?" Andrew asked, "Is still very early plus is Saturday" Carl turn around to see him in the eyes, "I promised to go to my son's game, and I want to be in the house before he wakes up" he responded, "you have a son? Are you divorced?" asked Andrew, "yes, I also have a daughter. But I'm not divorced" Carl said.
Andrew thought that was weird, Carl did not seem like the kind of person to be a parent, plus if he were a single parent, wouldn't he pass more time with his children? "So, you are a single parent?" Andrew dared to ask, "no" Carl responded "I'm married... I thought I told you this before". Andrew felt his heart ached, 'if he is married, then why is he sleeping with me?' he thought, and even though he knew this wasn't going to last for long, he was already attached with him and it hurt him that he was already with someone else.
"oh, don't look at me that way," Carl said, "I thought I already told you that I'm just seeing you for sex because my wife is sick and I need to get this frustration out". 'What a poor excuse to cheat on your wife' Andrew thought, it was always like this, people only came to him for sex, they knew he didn't have much money so they thought that if they bought him stuff, he will sleep with them, 'not that I'm complaining' Andrew liked getting free stuff, he couldn't afford them after all.
"well, I have to go, I'll call you when I need help if you know what I mean," said Carl leaving the room and closing the door behind him. Andrew let himself fall in his back on the bed, "why does it always have to be this way" he said to himself before he fell asleep again.
