"Mikan has been down in the dumps ever since Hotaru left." A girl said
"Hotaru hasn't helped the situation either. She's only sent one letter to Mikan in nine months." The other girl spoke
"I wonder if she's forgotten about us?"
"I'm sure Tokyo is exciting. I wish I was there too." The third girl spoke
"But I heard my father say, "I'm glad my child isn't an Alice, like Hotaru." The second girl spoke
"Apparently that Alice Academy where Hotaru went... doesn't allow students to see their parents until they graduate." The first girl said
"I heard it's like a prison." The other commented.
Mikan gasped, her grip on the penicil in her hand tightening until it broke.
You glanced at her, raising an eyebrow "Hotaru.." She said gloomily as she dropped her pencil
"Hm?" You glanced over at the girls who were talking
"Alice's are like national treasures, so.. the government made that school to protect them, apparently." The girl said.
Mikan's eyes widened.
"Plus they said it's in Tokyo, but it's actually on a secluded island or something" A girl whispered
"...so people won't find out about it." Another whispered, not noticing how Mikan walked closer to them and hid behind the desk to spy on their conversation
"...What?!" Mikan whispered as her face paled.
You sighed before resting your face on your arms again, Mikan was sure to freak out about this
"That's why Hotaru's mom and were really against the whole thing." A girl whispered
"They were practically on the run to keep the government recruiters at bay." She added in
"Then why is Hotaru going there now?" One girl asked
"I heard the government gives you money when you go to the Alice school." Another girl answered
"When Hotaru heard that, she immediately agreed to go!"
"What?! Is that true?!" Mikan shouted as she got off the ground
"What the heck is that about?!"
