How to change school grade on blackboard

The roles of instructor, teaching assistant, and grader can change grades in a course. When you change grades, the new data is automatically figured into existing weighted, total, or calculated grade columns. Each time you change a grade, an entry is made in the grade history.

Sometimes a grade change results in an override grade. A true override grade is applied to attempt-based Grade Center items only—tests and assignments. An override grade takes precedence over all other grade entries, including attempts a student submits after you assign an override grade.

For example, a grade is based on the average of multiple assignment attempts. But, you want to add a grade for a certain student that is one other than the average. For that student, you can assign an override grade that takes precedence over all other grades and future attempts.

Grading, or what we commonly refer to as a Grading Scales, are used to tell Blackboard how a letter grade maps to a numeric score (ex. A+ = 97-100, etc.), and vice-versa. Schemas may also be used for custom grade mapping. For example, one can create an assignment in a Blackboard course and assign a "grade" of "S+" (Satisfactory Plus), "S" (Satisfactory) and "U" (Unsatisfactory).

To create a grading schema:

Login to your Blackboard course.Click on Full Grade Center in your course's Control Panel.Click on the MANAGE menu and choose Grading Schemas from the choices.Then, click on the CREATE GRADING SCHEMA button.Add a descriptive NAME for your Schema.Add a DESCRIPTION for your Schema (this will show when viewing the whole list of schemas available to choose from).Lastly, begin mapping out your new letter and numeric grades.When finished setting up your Schema, click the SUBMIT button.Notice in the example below that there are two areas to a Grading Schema: the left-side (Grades Scored Between ... Will Equal) shows the numeric range and the equivalent letter grade, and the right-side (Grades Manually Entered as ... Will Calculate as) shows the letter grade and asks for its numeric equivalent. A Grading Schema works for BOTH the entering of numeric or letter grades. My grade was very poor that I can't move to the next class and my parents promise to buy me a car, if I do well on this semester but I was confuse that I have to look for alternative that can possibly change my grade.
