Bye Bye Aunty

I struggle to read the message. I'm too scared to see the harsh reality. That being: her ending our friendship. What if this is the end?

I slowly pick up my phone. As I type in my password my fingers tremble.

I read the message.

"my aunt sheila died." Kismet sent.

I sighed in relief. I know that sounds awful, but I am just so happy this isn't the end. Of course I feel bad for her, but it's better than her ghosting me... right?

"aw kismet :( r u ok? if u need someone to talk to hmu." I responded.

"thanks rain. wanna face time?" she asked.

I pace to brush my hair, and quickly put on some make up. SHE CANNOT SEE ME LIKE THIS OH MY GOD. mascara, eye liner, -

My phone starts to buzz. From impulse I answer almost immediately. WHY DID I DO THAT?!?!?! SHES GONNA THINK IM DESPERATE!!

"hey Rain." She said, her voice shaky.

Her mascara left marks streaming down her cheeks. But I could only see her face for a second because she immediately moved the camera so all I could see was her ceiling.

"hi kismet.." I answered without knowing what to say.

"do you want to craft?" she asked.

I'm kinda surprised she wants to play minecraft considering her aunt just died. I'm not saying it's a bad thing...

I snorted "Ok kismet."

After just a few minutes me and Kismet are dying of laughter. We got side tracked from Minecraft and were talking about tik toks and youtube videos.

I start dying and raging in laughter after she sends me her favorite tik tok audio.

"Why do you like this so much? ITS TRASH!" i yelled.

"don't ruin 100 gecs for me rain!!" She said trying to contain her laughter.

But slowly her laughed died out. I realized I could make her forget, but I couldn't take her pain away at the end of the day.

"Maybe this wasn't a good idea. I'm feeling kinda tired-" she started to say.

"it's ok kismet. Let's talk another time." I interrupted.

And the call ended.

After scrolling through tik tok for hours on end I decided to go on SnapChat. I wanted to see my snap maps to check to see if Kismet was active.

Kismet was seen one minute ago. 

"huh" I thought aloud.

I thought she was tired. Maybe she was tired, tired of me. I can never do anything right I'm always constantly annoying people.

I contemplate snapping her, but that might be a little too much. Don't want to make it seem like I'm stalking her because that is very. very. weird. So, I do something less weird. I stalk her instagram.

I giggle whoever I see a funny caption. But it immediately stops when I see the green dot next to her profile picture.
