The life I live and the history I'll create

Chapter 1

On the 10th of April 1986 a beautiful young mother gave birth to the newest family member of the Williams but sadly was also one of the last members, she was named Maria.

Twelve years after giving birth Maria's mother Gabriela died from being accused of witch craft and was put on fire and hung at the same time, while her husband Eric was out hiding Maria in a secret underground cottage in the middle of the woods that only Gabriel and Eric new about.

Once he got back to check on Gabriela he stopped in shock as tears rushed down his face to find his wife strung up to the top of their house by a rope and set alight luckily the angry mob was gone before he got there.

After two minuets Eric managed to put out the fire on his wife's body than buried it and placed a picture of over the grave looking at her face reminded him of Maria, suddenly he remembered that Maria was still in the cottage by herself so he rushed to the cottage thinking about how to tell her what happened to her mother. Once Eric got to the cottage he found Maria laying on the bed in the main room so Eric used the time he had to write a book about Gabriela, Eric, Maria and the missing boy and he decided to leave pages for Maria to fill in.

Than all of a sudden just as Eric had finished the book Maria woke up in shock from the noise that sounded as if an angry mob of people running about than Eric realised that they were in search of himself and his daughter for being the family of a witch so Eric hid the book and sat Down on the bed with Maria and hugged her hoping she would fall asleep again as they both listened to the mob shouting "find them and make them burn" than Maria asked " where's mother?" But her father Eric was in too much pain to say where she was and when Maria looked at his face she thought that it was best to not ask again.

Five days past and and Eric decided to tell Maria what happened, he started from when he took Maria into the woods and why he done it... just as Eric finished telling the story tree tears rolled from Maria's eyes and dropped off her face, " What do they want from us ??" Maria asked with confusion and anger but with a voice filled with sadness and sorrow Eric tried to change the subject and walked over to the pantry and noticed that they had no more food left "damn it, Maria we' re out of food so I have to go into town to get some food but I can't take you with me because it's too dangerous so you must stay here for your own safety, sorry honey any way I'll only be couple of hours I promise I'll be back soon" Eric explained hoping that he keeps the promise and worryingly leaves he kisses Maria on the cheek and goes.
On His way to town, on the way he decides to train Maria how to hunt, gather food, hide and fight so that when the day comes she will always know what to do.
As Maria grew so did her skills and her heart.

Time moved on and days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and months turned into years...

On Maria's 16th birthday Eric heard that a young man was found and was aged 21 who was saved by the witch hunters along with twelve other people aged between 18-35.
