The group had returned to the Astoria Motel where Sam had been staying. The first thing the twins did when they got to the room was flop down face-first on the bed. Now, hours later, they're fast asleep on the bed while Dean is dozing on the couch, a large book open on his lap. Sam quietly opens the door and looks behind him, making sure the girls or Dean didn't wake up before walking out.
The tv turns on to static and the radio starts to make a whining sound, waking Dean and Kenna, who looks around. Dean rubs the sleep from his eyes and quickly rolls to grab a shotgun that was lying by the bed. Kenna looks around some more as she sits up and realizes that Sam was gone.
"Dad?" She asks, looking to her right at Dean. He looks over at her and gives her a small smile.
"It'll be okay." He says before grimacing as the high-pitched noise begins again, this time waking Aspen, who quickly sits up, covering her ears. Kenna puts her hand over her right ear, Dean mimicking her movements as he keeps his grip on the weapon in his left hand.
Kenna hears a cracking sound and looks up to see the mirror on the ceiling cracking. She throws her body over her sister's just as it shatters, raining glass down on the three Winchesters. Dean covers his head as he crouches on the ground, clutching both his ears as all the glass in the room explodes. Kenna feels a sharp pain in her forearm but doesn't move from shielding her sister, who screams as a piece of glass embeds itself in her leg. Suddenly, the door bursts open as more glass shatters.
"Dean!" Bobby yells. He helps Dean up, who quickly wraps his arms around his girls and pulls them off the bed. Kenna follows Bobby out of the room as Dean scoops up Aspen, carrying her out of the room as he leaves her prosthetic on the floor by the bed.
Bobby drives his car down the road, Dean sitting in the passenger seat wiping blood from his face, and the twins in the back seat. Kenna looks over her sister to see small cuts along her leg and arms and a huge piece of glass embedded into her thigh. The older twin has a few nasty cuts as well, there's a large one on her right cheek as well as just above her right eye and a piece of glass similar to the one in her sister's leg stuck in her forearm, blood pouring from her wound. She looks at her sister's leg to see more blood pouring from it.
"How you doin', kid?" Bobby asks Dean.
"Aside from the church bells ringing in my head, peachy." Dean says sarcastically before pulling out his phone and dialing a number. Kenna tunes out the conversation her dad is having as she pulls the hem of her tank top up to her teeth, holding it with them as she tears some of the fabric off, holding it to her sister's leg, the white fabric quickly turning red.
"Girls?" Dean asks, looking to the backseat after his talk with Bobby when he realizes that they've been far too quiet, especially Kenna, who has no problem voicing her opinions. As he turns in his seat, he sees Kenna's wide eyes as she presses the fabric to her sister's leg harder, making the younger girl groan. His own eyes widen at the blood pouring from her own arm. "Kenna-"
"I'm fine." She says, shaking her head as she ignores the pain in her arm. "She's lost a lot of blood dad." Dean twists more and sees the massive amount of blood on the cloth as well as pooling on the seat under Aspen's leg.
"It'll be okay." Dean tells the girls for the second time in an hour. "We're almost there. We'll get you both patched up." He faces forward again and quietly tells Bobby to drive faster. The group makes it to the barn soon and the males quickly clamber out of the car. Dean opens the back passenger side door and moves to pick up Aspen but Kenna's grip on her tightens as she applies more pressure to the wound.
"KG, I need you to let go of your sister." Dean tells her gently. Kenna shakes her head, the motion making her dizzy from her blood loss. Her head was swimming with memories from the plane crash at the sight of all the blood and she was having a bit of trouble discerning reality from memory. Dean puts his hand over hers, holding the cloth down more. "She's gonna be fine. I've got her. But I need you to let go so I can get her inside and patch her up."
