𝙓-𝙐𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩―𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐨 𝐔𝐳𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢 𝐱 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫

Chapter 1: Pilot

“Now, [Y/N], remember. You’re going on this mission with us. Lord Hokage has said depending on the outcome of this mission, you will be added to Team 7.” Kakashi Hatake explained to her. 

The girl, [Y/N] [L/N], nodded her head as she packed her bag for the C-Rank mission that one of Kakashi’s disciples had gotten them. “I know I know.”

“I want you to at least try to make friends with the three of them. Or at the very least, the female of our group, Sakura.” Kakashi told her. 

“I’ll put it on my to do list.” she spat as she focused on making sure she had everything. 

Kakashi sighed. “And try to be as honest as possible.” 

The girl nodded with a faint sigh leaving her lips. As honest as possible. Do you mean what truth I’m most comfortable with or the truth in an objective perspective? “I’ll try my best, sensei.” 

“Just finish packing won’t you, dewdrop?” Kakashi sent a look her way before walking out of her room.  

[Y/N] nodded and continued to pack before the two left. Now being stuck with Kakashi for the past twelve or so years of her life, she was used to his shenanigans. Including that of him being exceptionally tardy. When the two finally met the starting point of their mission, they were a good half hour late. 

“Good morning, Kakashi-sensei!” a boy with whisker-like marks on his face and yellow hair greeted the silver haired jonin before his blue landed on the [H/C] haired female. “Who did you bring?” 

“This is [Y/N]. She’s coming with us for this mission. And if she can work well with the three of you, she’ll be a part of your team from now on.” Kakashi explained. 

“Hi, [Y/N]. I’m Naruto Uzumaki.” the boy held out his hand for her to shake. 

She just stared at that. The two tweens behind the two could feel the weird awkwardness in the air. Does she not understand what’s going on? The girl shook the boy’s hand after noticing the weird look the other two were giving her. 

“I’m Sakura Haruno.” the pink haired girl introduced herself and shook the girl’s hand. 

“Sasuke Uchiha.” the other boy in the group said from his spot and gave a slight wave at the girl. 

The girl just gave a wave of her hand from her spot beside Kakashi Hatake. “You’re late, Kakashi-sensei?” Sakura crossed her arms over her chest. 

The girl rubbed the back of her neck in a sheepish manner. “That’s my bad. I was chasing a rat that had gotten into the yard, Kakashi-kun followed after me, and we got lost. So, we went the long way.” 

She’s definitely Kakashi-sensei’s daughter. 

“My first ever for real ninja mission!” Naruto fist-bumped the air.  

“What are you getting so excited about, Naruto?” asked Sakura from beside [Y/N]. 

“This is the first time I’ve ever left the village. I’m a traveler now. Believe it!” Naruto explained, searching the area like a dork. 

The old man, bridge builder Tazuna, pointed a finger at Naruto being his energetic self. “Hey, am I supposed to trust my life to this runt? He’s a joke.” 

[Y/N] noticed how Naruto stopped moving around. If he was a dog, his ears would have drooped. “He’s with me, and I’m a jonin. So you don’t need to worry.” 

[Y/N] walked over to Naruto and placed her hand on his spiky blonde hair. “It’s okay, hedgehog. Don’t get worked up about a silly comment.”
