Brave

She sits in a graveyard

Staring into empty space

Drawing patterns in the wet ground

Reminiscing about him

All those memories

They play around her

She lives them again

Through empty eyes

She weeps for the love lost

For the future never to come true

For the memories hold truth

About him and her and them

She is supposed to be brave

Have courage to go ahead

To continue the journey

 Meant for them

She casts away those thoughts

Those that hold them together

For they no longer hold any fruit

The tears have long dried upon her cheeks

But she knows

She will be brave

For her and him and them

For their love is like the sunrise and sunsets

Beautiful while it lasts

Dripping peach pink skies

Leaving the bittersweet aftertaste

A transient reminder of an eternal love.
