A pale, blue-eyed girl smiled giddily as she swiped through pictures.

"O, M, G! This guy is so cute!" She squealed.

I took a glance at the picture.

"Oh, that's Shawn Mendes." I plainly said with a blank face.

"Shaun Mindez." She mimiced dreamily. I rolled my eyes.

Newborn...

"For your information Jules, he's mine. You can have Nash." And with that she crossed her arms and stomped a foot with a grouchy face.

"Edine! You're so mean! Why does everything always have to be yours?" She whined.

"I don't know... maybe because I'm more mature and you're not?" I shrugged.

Her mouth formed in an 'O' shape and her eyebrows tightened.

"Excuse me?! I don't look like a little girl!"

"Yea but you think like one"

"Okay now that just makes you even ruder!"

"Is that even a word?"

"B-Bu"

"Well congratulations because you also sound like one" I swiftly took my phone from her hand and walked ahead of her.

What a fucking newborn. I knew for a fact that she was just using me anyway.

I swiped down Twitter when suddenly I bumped into someone.

Because of that, the device slipped from my hand and fell on the ground, shattered into two pieces.

I stared at it in disbelief.

"Iamsosorry, I-I can always p-pay for that." an angelic male voice said.

I closed my eyes tight to help calm myself.

"I-It's okay, I'll just buy a new one on my own..." I muttered.

"N-no it's not! It's not okay... Listen, just let me pay or else I'll feel really bad about this." He said in a sincere tone as he grabbed my shoulders for attention.

I opened my eyes and am shocked to see the face of my everything.

Shawn Mendes.

"Oh my God! Sh-Shawn, is that really you?" I gasped, covering my mouth, feeling every fibre of me shaking. Tears were then forming in my eyes.

"Um, surprise?" He said still embarrassed as he opened his arms wide.

Not thinking straight, I ran into his chest and hugged him tight.

"Shawn I am so sorry for being a b-bitch to you a-and-" I blurted out through sniffs and tears when he caught me off.

"Shhh, it's okay. I got you, beautiful." He whispered as he laid his chin on the top of my head and tightened the hug. I suddenly felt safe and warm.

"OHHHH MY GOSH IT'S SHAUN MINDEZ IT'S SHAUN MINDEZ!!!" A girly voice screamed and we immediately pulled away.

Shaun Mindez? What the actual...

I tightened my eyebrows in confusion as I turned around. My eyes then widened in disbelief and shame.

"Jules?! How the heck did you get here?"

"OH MY GOSH I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THIS" She screamed giddily again, completely ignoring my question as if it was just the two of them.

"Hey" Shawn waved shyly.

Then in a blink of an eye, she was already hugging the soul out of him.

I looked at her in disgust. She wasn't only hugging him, but also squealing, screaming, giggling... you name it and oh God she's not even crying with joy or something, she's just happy to be able to hug a celebrity who obviously means nothing to her. I felt like vomiting.

And as for Shawn, he was just hugging back unsurely with an awkward smile. Poor guy.

Then, instinctively, I tapped on her shoulder and she broke the huge, giving Shawn a sigh of relief.

"So-"

"SHAUN SHAUN SHAUN CAN I TAKE A PICTURE?!" She quickly took out her phone, did a pose next to him and smiled strongly. Shawn simply leaned in and smiled too.

I rolled my eyes at her.

"OMG OMG I AM SO GONNA POST THIS ON ALL MY SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS"

"Oh about that," Shawn came closer to me and pulled out his wallet. Suddenly I knew what he was gonna do.

"Nonono, it's okay Shawn," I quickly said, stopping his hand. He looked at me concerned.

"Are you sure?"

"Um, yeah..."

"Alright, just to be sure..." He slid back his wallet in his pocket and pulled out a small piece of paper.

"Here" He genuinely smiled, handing it to me. I simply took it clueless and just as I was about to unfold it, he continued, "It's my number."

I widened my eyes in shock. "A-are you serious?"

"Yeah," he chuckled.

"W-what for?"

"Use it to call me if you ever change your mind." He winked and I hugged him thankfully.

"Thank you so much!"

"The pleasure is all mine." He said hugging back tighter.

We pulled away after what felt like forever.

"I gotta go now," he then said. "What's your name by the way?"

"Oh uh okay, sure. And it's Edine." I fake smiled, feeling a bit upset.

He asked for my name... I just can't believe this!

"Alright, be sure to text me when you can. Bye, Edine." He waved, I waved back and he walked away.

"OH MY GOSH CAN I HAVE HIS NUMBER TOO?!"

I looked at Jules and snobbed.

I then walked away, still feeling happy and thankful that I have my fave's number.
