Time went by in an uneventful fashion, as Olivia was bound to her room at all times. If it weren't for the window, she wouldn't even be sure how much time had passed. Judging by the rising and falling sun she knew it had been a week, though it felt like much longer. She was alone for the entire time and if it weren't a random guard entering in typical vampire speed, she would have assumed they had forgotten about her. They were always in and out, 3 times a day, and quick as a flash as they delivered food. Olivia would try to stop them, but her efforts didn't mean much being how her vampiric abilities weren't near the level of the guard. Even the underground bunker Maverick ran was livelier than the room, she didn't know which she preferred.

Watching the sunrise on the morning of day 8 was different, the moment the full sun was above the horizon the sound of the door opening echoed in the room. The girl paid no mind to it, assuming it was breakfast being brought up. It was the footsteps that were approaching her that caused her to jump and turn around. She furrowed her brows as she locked eyes with one of the Volturi kings, Aro.

"Hello, my dear. I do hope I did not startle you." He spoke so elegantly, the words feeling foreign to the girl after being alone for so long. Olivias shoulders tensed as she watched Aro smile before speaking again, "I do apologize for leaving you in here so long. Caius, Marcus, and I wanted to investigate what I saw in your memories before we made any decisions that included you. We had members of our guard go to where you were created, we do take these newborn armies very seriously." He explained.

"Did they find it?" Olivia asked, hoping that they've already taken care of the growing numbers Maverick was creating. She only wished that Michael and Simone had made it out of there before the guard had arrived. If they hadn't, she could only imagine what their fate was.

Aro chuckled and nodded, "They did, yes. Only a handful ran but they won't get far. They should not be a problem." Aro motioned for the girl to sit on the bed and he followed, sitting far enough away to not make Olivia uncomfortable. "To be honest, however, I did not come up to talk about the newborns. I must say I am more interested in your gift."

"You can see people's memories, too?" Olivia asked, remembering him saying that he looked through her memories. She was interested in the fact they share a similar gift, no one in the bunker had a gift that had to do with thoughts and memories, so it was a small relief to meet someone else who did. Aro nodded once again and lightly took the girl's left hand in his own and watched as his eyes glazed over just as they had done when they met.

"I can, yes. I can read their thoughts as well." He responded, his bright red eyes returning to their normal state, his grip on Olivia's hand was still present. "I am, however, more interested in yours. You see I must be physically in contact with another to see into their mind. Seeing what you had done in the throne room was rather...special. Not only did you enter the mind of one of our best guards touching him, but you also brought him down without making contact. Truthfully, I've never seen anything like it before. If you don't mind, I'd like to explore further into it." Aro rose to his feet, bringing Olivia along with him as though she was a child.

She was shocked that her gift was held in such high regard to one of the vampire kings, enough so that he wanted to personally, as he said, "look into it." He led her out into the hallway, and she had her first experience of being out of the room since the previous week. Aro removed his hand from Olivias and moved it to the small of her back, leading her down several long hallways that were vaguely familiar to her, but most of the halls did the look the same so it was hard to gauge where they could be going. Large doors eventually came into view and Olivia knew exactly where she was, they were the same door her and the tourists had walked through days ago. She only wondered how many more souls entered through them only to never leave.

As Olivia and Aro entered the large throne room she noticed the large vampire she had been only briefly acquainted with, Felix, she remembered, holding a man down in the middle of the room. It seemed they were about to start a trial, was this how Aro wanted to gauge her power? She stole a glance at Caius and Marcus who sat on their thrones, both seeming to study her movements. Nerves began to eat at her at the audience, she hadn't trained her gift enough and at this point, she'd felt inadequate. What was Aro expecting? Did he want her to do what she did to that one guard? She wasn't even aware she could do that until the moment arose and she wasn't sure how to replicate it.

"Brothers, I am sure you remember our friend Olivia." Aro introduced, his voice light and almost reminded the girl of a child on Christmas. Marcus only nodded while the blonde kept his glare and Olivia was sure she'd turn to stone if she looked at him for too long, so she turned her attention back to the Aro who offered a comforting smile. "She is going to extracting information for us today." He turned them both around, positioning them so they were standing in front of the man Felix was holding down.

He was quiet and shaking slightly, eyes cast downwards to the marble flooring. He looked rough, his shoulder-length hair was matted, skin cracked from what Olivia could only assume was from a recent altercation, probably with the man standing above him.

"What did he do to be here?" Her question wasn't necessarily for anyone in the room, but more to herself. A chuckle echoed from behind her.

"That's for you to find out. That's why you're here."
