Shadows

Moonlight is the shadow of the moon,
To let everyone know that sleep is soon,
There is a foreshadow to every new event,
And a notification to every message sent.

You may toss and turn,
Your stomach may churn,
But there is always discomfort before the relief,
Always questioning before the belief.

Shadows come in many forms,
Shadows are the same as storms,
You can have them dark,
Or as light as a singing lark,

You can have them deadly dangerous,
Or as peaceful as Christmas,
Your shadow in life is a reflection,
Of who you decided to make perfection,

Some may be ashamed of who they became,
But at least no two people are the same,
Shadows are only exposed by the light,
Because sometimes other people are too bright,

But they are always there,
Not wanting to scare,
Only find companionship,
Or maybe even a relationship

To find their fair dose of happiness,
To extinguish all sadness,
Not to feel above
But to feel love.
