Sapnap was waiting at the village for a half hour now. He decided to leave early, just in case Dream came early. He didn't, but Sapnap didn't get bored while waiting.

Sapnap's smile brightened when he saw Dream coming over to him, "Hey, Dream!" He called out, running to the other.

Dream looked at Sapnap, "Oh, Sapnap, hey." He waved. "Uh..." He looked away, unsure of what to say.

"Come on, George is at home." He smiled and linked arms with Dream. It was a thing he did with George, to bug him, and it just became a habit. Dream wasn't complaining.

"So.. I guess you got the note." He said, it was a little late to bring that up, but Sapnap had no idea for a conversation starter.

"Yeah.. um.." Dream looked to the side, "It's nice of you guys to invite me over." But it's not worth it. "I guess it's good for me to get out more."

Sapnap glanced up at Dream, a smile still on his face, "Yeah! It was George's idea, and a pretty great one too!"

Dream forced a smile, which Sapnap didn't pick up on. Sapnap continued to talk, and Dream didn't mind at all.

Sapnap talked about when he and George did the other night, what Sapnap does when George isn't around, and Sapnap's favourite food. His mind seemed to be running a mile a minute.

Dream listened to everything that Sapnap had to say, until they reached his house. Sapnap walked in "George! I'm back and I got Dream!" He called out for George.

George walked over to them, receiving a big hug from Sapnap, and a wave from Dream.

Dream avoided any sort of eye contact. (As much eye contact as you can get from wearing a mask)

George smiled at Dream, "Nice to see you, Dream."

"Yeah.. you too..." Dream shoved his hands into his hoodie pockets, feeling awkward.

George led Dream to the couch and let him sit down. He sat down beside Dream, and Sapnap sat beside George.

Dream examined the room as he spoke, "Um.. Thanks for last night. That stew you made was really good."

Sapnap wrapped his arms around George, "Isn't he such a good cook? I'd probably die without him."

George chuckled, "That's because you're absolutely useless in the kitchen."

Sapnap shrugged, "That's not my fault. My mom never let me help when I was a kid. And you definitely don't let me help now."

"That's because you almost burnt our house down last time!" George retorted.

Dream felt himself smile, "You guys argue like some old married couple." He laughed, which felt odd to him.

Sapnap laughed with Dream, and laughed more at how annoyed George looked. "I'm sorry, Georgie!"

"Stop calling me that!" He tried to push Sapnap off of him, but Sapnap didn't budge.

Sapnap turned to Dream, smiling happily, "So, Dream, do you want to go on a walk?" He suggested, "We don't have to go somewhere new, we can just go down a path that George and I go down."

Dream nodded, "Yeah, sure." He got up after George and Sapnap, and followed them outside.

As they walked, George would ask Dream questions. Sometimes Dream would answer, sometimes he'd stay quiet, and as much as it hurt him, sometimes he'd lie.

They walked for a few more hours, before turning back and going back to George and Sapnap's house.

George walked inside first and turned to Dream, "Would you like to stay for food? Maybe spend the night?"

Dream hesitated, he took a moment to think, noticing that he, again, didn't eat anything all day. "Yeah.. sure." He nodded.

Dream sat with Sapnap, who continued to just talk and talk. Dream felt himself smile slightly as Sapnap talked.

"And that's why I obviously love George more than he loves me!" Sapnap said, laughing to himself.

Dream chuckled, "Wow. I can't believe him." He said, sarcastically.

George walked in, "You guys aren't talking about me, are you?"

Sapnap shook his head, quickly, "Of course not!"

George rolled his eyes with a smile, and sat with the other two. They all ate together on the couch, and when they were done, they gave Dream some spare blankets.

"You can always sleep in the spare room, you know." Sapnap offered.

Dream shook his head, "Thanks, but I'll be fine on the couch." He smiled.

Sapnap frowned, but then nodded, "Okay then. Good night, Dream!" His frown quickly turned into a smile, and went to join George in their room.

He flopped down onto the bed and looked over at George. "He said he'd be fine on the couch." He told George.

George shrugged, "Well, that's alright." He said before laying down beside Sapnap. "Good night, Sap." George yawned before he quickly fell asleep.

Sapnap stared into the blackness of the room, before he fell asleep too.

George woke up to a loud thud. He reached his hand over, and Sapnap was still there, fast asleep. He figured it was Dream. Worried, he got up to check on Dream.

George made his way to where Dream was staying, and saw him on the ground, curled in a ball and crying.

George rushed over to wake Dream up. He gently shook Dream, calling out his name.

Dream soon woke up, letting out a gasp. He locked eyes with George, and seemed to calm down.

George squinted his eyes to try and make out what Dream looked like, but it was a little hard in the dark. "Are you okay?"

Dream rubbed his eyes, "Sorry..." He whispered, wiping his tears away. "It was just a nightmare."

George frowned and sat with Dream, "Do you have nightmares often?" He asked. When Dream didn't answer, he took that as a yes.

"Listen, Dream... You don't have to talk about anything yet but..." George started talking, "But whenever you're ready, you can always come to me. Sapnap and I like you, and like I said, we want to be your friend."

Dream closed his eyes as he started to cry again. He leaned against George, who wrapped his arms around him, in a comforting way.

Dream still couldn't shake those thoughts. George and Sapnap were always so nice to him, but his mind constantly screamed at him.

They're wasting their time.
