We made it to first block on time. We had our usual routine of everyone greeting us and catching up on the things that happened. We probably know everyone in the school. We found our seats and totally ignored whatever the teacher was teaching. I'm sorry, but math is boring and won't keep my attention even if my life depended on it. I started day dreaming and doodling on my notebook, even though I may not be the best at drawing. Now that I think about it one of the things I enjoy doing most in class is not paying attention to the teacher and focusing on writing lyrics. I guess you could say I look like I'm working because I'm constantly writing, even though I'm just writing whatever lyrics decide to pop up in mind. Before I know it I've filled up 2 pages, back and front, in 30 minutes. I can feel Emily gazing at me wondering what the fuck I'm doing but, I don't really care.
Time really does fly. It was already time for lunch and Emily and I were on our way to meet our boyfriends. Ha ha, did you assume we didn't have boyfriends? I'm just kidding, unless you did but that's fine too. We both picked up a salad and a plate of lasagna from the cafeteria and headed over to our usual outside seating area. We go to private school by the way. Bayside Academy is where it's at. It's probably the best school in our area so far. We finally made it outside and set our food on the newly polished wood table that was looking smoother than my skin could ever dream of in 7th grade. Sitting next to our boyfriends we just had our normal talks of gossip, teacher complaints, forgetting to do homework, comparing test grades, etc. Normal school life you could say.
We're in our senior year of high school by the way. Prom is coming up soon and Emily and I are going dress shopping. This year's dress code is formal, which means it's time to look at all the long and big ass ball gowns. I think a green dress would suit Emily. It would definitely bring our her blue eyes and her Rapunzel brown hair. As for me I'm thinking of going for a blue dress, It'd leave a nice contrast with my dark brown, or as other people would see it, black hair.
As we were finishing up lunch we were all urgently called to the auditorium for an assembly.... On our way there Emily and I see 2 pennies on the ground. Emily picks them up, hands one to me and says, "Think of it as a good luck charm." We kept the penny in our pockets and walked over to the auditorium with our boyfriends following closely behind.
