*Ring Ring Ring*
My alarm goes off, 7:15. I get up and go to the bathroom to bush my teeth and pull my hair up into a ponytail.
I change into some leggings, a cropped tee and my running shoes. (pic above)
I walk back into my bedroom grab my phone and my headphones, and head out.
I always run the same way, up to 12th street, over to Pine Ave. And I usually stop at this coffee shop right on the corner. Today I started feeling like someone is watching me, I mean I am running at 7:45 in the morning but still, I turn around to scope the area and I see a young man, maybe in his late twenties, brown hair, and glasses.
While scoping the area I continue to walk backwards, when all of the sudden I bump into something hard.
"Ow"
I say holding my head.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't even, I wasn't."
The man says scrambling
"Spencer?"
I turn to see the Dr. who was helping teach, Thursday right in front of me.
"Samantha? What are you doing"
He says looking at my outfit.
"Oh I don't know Spence, swimming."
I say sarcastically.
"Well technically speaking it's far to cold to swim, since it is November."
He says.
"I run. a lot"
I say laughing.
"You know you are far to skinny to be running as much as you say you do."
He says frowning a bit.
"How would you know?"
I say.
"I'm a profiler Samantha, I study people's behavior, for a living, heck your going to be study people's behavior for a living"
He says.
He did have a point.
"It's not unhealthy to run, it's quite the opposite actually."
I state.
"And anyways what are you doing out here?"
I ask.
"I like coffee, and there's a coffee shop across the street."
He says pointing that direction.
"I was just going there."
" Would you want to go together maybe?"
He asked.
" Sure."

We walk in, and the smell of coffee hits me like a ton of bricks. I realize how tired I actually am. If we are being honest, what Spencer says is true. I don't run because it's "healthy" I run because I feel awake and alive when I run. Ever since I moved away from New York, I just can't seem to find anybody.
Once we get out coffees we go to sit down.
"So you live here full time?"
Spencer asks.
"Um, ya I moved here from New York about 4 years ago."
"Oh so your almost down with, your classes then?"
"Yup, I take my finals before Christmas break and then i'm down, I'm graduating early so I can start looking for job openings."
"Are you not going to do the FBI training program?"
He asked.
"You have to be accepted into that, there is no way they'd let me in."
"You don't know that."
He says.
"Wait? Why are you still in Massachusetts?"
"Before we left, we got a call saying, Woman around the area have been going missing. I was hoping you would call but I didn't know. I would have told you over the phone but."
He starts to scramble.
"Spence, your doing it again."
I laugh .
"Doing what?"
He asks.
"Scrambling"
"Scrambling?"
"Yes, you think if you say the wrong thing i'll hate you or something, and I promise I don't hate you ."
"How did you-."
" I'm a Psychology major"
I laugh.
We continue to talk for a good hour before he gets a call.
"Hello. Yes, Yes. Um i'm actually with her. Okay. Okay, on our way."
He says.
"Who was that?"
I ask.
"i'll explain in the car. We need to get you home so you can grab some clothes"
He says standing up.
"What? Spencer what is going on"
"I'll explain everything in the car Sam, please come on."
