"There was a minor block in his heart. But we removed it through surgery. Now the patient is fine. He is unconscious right now. After two hours he will be conscious okay".

After explaining the patient's condition to his relatives, I went to my cabin.

After throwing my dirty scrubs to the dustbin, I washed my face and hands. The surgery was a hectic one. It took two more hours.

Thank god everything went fine.

I removed my coat and placed it on the couch. Sitting on my rolling chair, I took another patient's file to study about him. I was busy reading when my phone started ringing.

It was from mom. I frowned seeing it because she never used to call me during work time. I sighed and picked the call.

"Monu" .

Fuck this name.

"Yes Ma". I tried to sound sweet.

"Monu, when will you come home today?". I frowned at this question as she knew when I would come.

"Mom what type of question is this, you know when I am coming home everyday. Then why this sudden question". I asked her.

"Um Monu it's just that, we need to say something important to you. So you need to come early".

"Sir, an emergency case is reported. You need to be there". She informed me

" You go, I will be there". Wearing my coat, I went to attend the next case .
