Monday 29th November 1971
I woke up from Freddie giving me kisses all over my face. I chuckled a bit as it tickled and Freddie smiled too.
"Good morning darling" Freddie brushed the hair out of my face. For the first time this morning I opened my eyes and saw that Freddie was hovering over me.
"Morning darling" I copied him but in a deeper morning voice
Freddie giggled at my attempt to impersonate him before diving down again for more kisses. This time on my lips and this time with me kissing him back. We both got a bit carried away, I noticed the room suddenly becoming very heated as me and Freddie pressed our bodies into each other. A few moans and gasps were being exchanged too when certain feelings overwhelmed us.
"Morning boys! Got any laundry?" Mum burst into the room, the shock causing me to practically throw Freddie off of me and turn into a tomato with embarrassment
"No laundry Mum, thanks" I mumbled, unable to look at her
"Ok!" Mum turned on her heels and walked out as if nothing happened.
"Oh. My. God." I put my hands over my face as I only turned more red whilst recalling what just happened
"We really need to move out" Freddie chuckled, even he had gone slightly pink in the cheeks and it takes a lot to get Freddie flustered.
"Agreed" I sighed.
Roger was back from seeing Sarina which meant we now had the full team to help us with the house today. Yes, even Dad was here this time and Brian also brought Anita, we truly had a house full.
We split into two teams, one to finish the painting and the other to start on the carpets. Me, Dad, and Roger were working on the carpets and then there was Freddie, Brian, and Anita finishing off the last of the painting. Roger bought his radio so this time the house was filled with music.
I don't know if it was the music or the fact there was loads of people helping but the work was getting done, and fast. The likelihood of us being moved in by Christmas seemed to be growing.
"Thanks again guys" I said with a tired yawn
"No problem" Brian grinned
"Yeah, no worries" Roger added
Eventually we all left. Me and Freddie were in Dad's car. He had been quiet all day, not his usual self.
"Are you alright?" I asked him
"I'm fine, just a bit tired" He shrugged as he started up the engine
"Me too!" Freddie stretched his arms out from the backseat of the car
"We can just relax for the rest of the day" I stated, not knowing how tonight's events would truly unfold...
Freddie and me were snoozing on the sofa. We'd just had our dinner and the tiredness from today got the better of us. It made us both jump when there was a frantic knock on the door. From the corner of my eye I could see Mum going to get the door so I stayed in my comfortable state. Freddie must've thought the same as he didn't move a muscle either.
"Boys, it's Brian and Roger" Mum said and our eyes shot open. What were they doing here? We only saw them a few hours ago.
"I need to talk to you" Brian looked worried but happy at the same time. I've never seen that expression on his face before
"Ok?" I said suspiciously, "Do you want to go upstairs?"
"Uh, yes please" Brian nodded
So that's what we did. We all clambered up the stairs and went into mine and Freddie's room. We piled onto the bed, me and Freddie in our usual spots and then Brian and Roger sat at the foot of the bed.
"What's up then Brian?" Roger questioned
"Well. Anita and I were kind of just talking about marriage and it made me realise that I really want to propose to her. I said we had some band meeting but I've really come to ask for your help. I want the proposal to be special and memorable and I've got no ideas" Brian explained
"This is so exciting!" Freddie exclaimed before he began to think
"Christmas is soon" I mumbled
"Yeah do it on Christmas!" Roger blurted out
There was a brief time of silence before Freddie said, "Here's the plan. Hopefully Garden Lodge will be ready in time for Christmas. You all come over like planned but then I'll make some sort of seating plan for the dining table. In Anita's Christmas cracker we will put the engagement ring in it so when she pulls it she gets the surprise. She turns around and Brian will be down on one knee and it will be absolutely perfect!" Freddie got more and more excitable the more he spoke
"Freddie, you're a genius" Brian broke into a big smile
"I know" Freddie grinned sassily
"All we need to do now is buy a ring" Roger shrugged
"And get Garden Lodge completed in time for Christmas" I added
"We will" Freddie said confidently
"I don't know what I'd do without you guys" Brian chuckled
"You'd be miserable" Roger commented with a laugh and we all laughed too
"Anyway, I should probably get home. It's getting late" Brian stood up and smoothed out the creases in his clothes that formed whilst he sat.
"You dragged me along too, am I getting a lift home?" Roger questioned jokingly
"Of course, you doughnut" Brian rolled his eyes
"Good" Roger got up too with a cheeky smirk on his face, "See you tomorrow, goodnight!"
"Night Rog! Night Bri!" I called out as the left our room
"Bye darlings!" Freddie shouted out even louder
That night I couldn't sleep. I was thinking about me and Freddie getting married somewhen in the future. Would he propose to me? Would I propose to him? Would we coincidently propose at the same time? Does he even want marriage? Do I even want marriage?
I was very excited for Brian and Anita's proposal. We were going to all be there and it would be in our house! I know she will say yes, Brian and Anita have been together for practically forever. They are perfect for each other and bring out the best in each other too.
"What are you thinking about?" Freddie mumbled after seeing I was still awake
"Nothing" I lied
"Get some sleep" He muttered, pulling me closer to him
"I love you" I whispered
"Love you too Johnny" Freddie whispered back, causing me to smile
