This show is a prime example of a young black family and a clear representation of Chris rocks childhood. Chris's life is based in Brooklyn during the 1980s. The real-life situations and story plots are very relatable for the black community and all but just the story plot itself with the view from Chris himself shows exactly how his childhood went detail for detail.
Sometimes this was too relatable with Chris having a little sister named Tanya. She was relatable because of her strong bond with her father. Julius gave everyone in the black community a father I have one of my own but Julius was funny and gave me the same vibes.
