what more could it be ?
i'm an adolescent with depression, dysphoria, mania, and a fucking anxiety disorder.
yes,all of those.
it's shocking to think that all these words are synonymous among us gen z teenagers.
it just shows how far society has come and how the perception of gen z varies amongst other people."oh no, what a load of crap ! everything's handed to them on a fucking silver spoon ! they've got it all easy - bunch of fuckwits overthinking and falling into depression just to use an excuse to escape from reality."
said a boomer sitting in a restaurant, two tables away from me, frustrated that his food isn't on his table yet.i mean, what more do you want me to say?
yeah we wanna fuckin escape from reality - even for the shortest time.
the problem is this stupid mentality of us "having it easy" leads to higher expectations which leads to a whole buttload of other shit.yeah we have the internet,
yeah we have the world wide web,
yeah we have our mobile phones,
yeah we have google,
but none of y'all have a clue about how this shit works.we go to school, we're taught by "fake teachers", who are paid to teach something they don't practise in their daily lives and are aware that we won't need even a single word of it in our lives.
i asked my teacher once - "ms, are we ever gonna use this in the future?"
she didn't reply at first, because she knew that both of us knew what the answer was.
she then replied with a pretty vague answer - "you never know"
yeah like as if we're gonna use calculus and algebra to get us through our lives.
she then replied with a firm "NO".
schools follow a system, whether private or public, we're being encouraged to do well academically, get good marks and graduate with honors.
and then become the perfect slave.
and half of us just gave up on the way there - i did the same countless number of times.
back to the internet and the mobile phone conundrum, it's pretty simple yet pretty fucking hard.the more data/information is available online, the more information they want us to produce.
pretty schewpid, innit ?
sorry my inner british self wanted to introduce himself.
there's so much more i want to say and so many more situations i want to use as examples, but the freedom of speech, no matter where you are, is spiralling down.
"Members of Gen Z are more racially and ethnically diverse than any previous generation, and they are on track to be the most well-educated generation yet. They are also digital natives who have little or no memory of the world as it existed before smartphones."
- literally every website ever.that second sentence is every boomer or every asian parent ever.
i can say that for a FACT.one thing i can say, we are the most open-minded generation ever.
but "most well-educated generation" ?
how do you define well-educated ?
our academic ability or our understanding of how the world works and how to fix it ?it's just funny to think there's always another meaning of whatever we say which leads other people to misunderstand something, usually out of context.
this has led to the most synonymous culture among us - "cancel culture".
i ain't saying shit about that as the whole world is familiar with that toxic shit.
urghhhhhhh i'm way too hungry to keep on writing.
how should i end this ?????
ah...yes.
life is a conundrum of esoterica.
p.s.
yes, figure that last sentence out yourself.
