“CHARLOTTE GET YOUR ASS IN HERE!” Ryker yells. Dallas runs in and sees the empty room. "The fuck- where did she go?! Kalen! Have you seen your sister?!" He yelled, Kalen walked down and into her room. "Fuck...there's a note-" he picks up a sticky note that reads 'Dallas, if it's that hard for you to see the obvious answer, I'll make it for you.' Kalen and Dallas look at each other, Dallas runs out of the room and grabs his bag. "Wait, Dallas? What's going on?!" Ryker asks him. "Uhm...I-...I have to go.." he stutters and then runs out the door, not even bothering to close it behind him. Kalen stands next to him and pats his back. "Some things are better left not known. Anywho! I'm making ramen!!" Meanwhile with Charlotte, “Alorah?! Where are you?!” She yelled as she was walking around the highschool. She pulled out her flamethrower. "It's Charlotte! I just wanna...talk…" she sits in front of the school and waits, eventually Alorah walks out from the woods and into the parking lot. "Fine. What is it…?" Alorah hesitantly says. "I wanna know why you keep hitting on Dallas when you know he's trying to start a relationship with Ryker. It's not cool." Charlotte crossed her arms and put her flamethrower back. "I- he never….I didn't expect things to work out with them…" Alorah took off her ring and messed with it in her hands. "I mean, it's kinda obvious, Ryker flirts with him constantly and Dallas doesn't do anything to stop it. Basically what I'm saying is back off. Leave him alone and let him be, ok?" Charlotte looks at Alorah and smiles to try and calm her down. "Ok...I'll miss him...just don't let him forget me completely…" she said, putting her ring back on. Charlotte nodded and started walking back to the house, she runs into Dallas on the way and tells a little white lies by saying "when I went to talk to her all I wanted to do was tell her you were confused and that she needed to help you decide but...she said she didn't want anything to do with you.." it was clear she was doing this so that he wouldn't leave them for Alorah. Dallas was hurt and ended up walking home and skipping dinner, he went straight to bed, eventually Ryker got tired too and saw he was asleep so he laid down next to him.
Dallas rolled over and looked at Ryker- His heart beating and him not knowing what to do, he put his headphones in Ryker’s and his own ears; Waiting By Hoober started playing.
Ryker opened his eyes and ruffled Dallas’ hair and laughed a little bit. “ Can I say something?”
Dallas sits up a little and nods as Ryker sits up fully, “ I’ve always liked you…” He looked down, possibly blushing.
Dallas just looked at Ryker, a tall, popular, ex-class clown, also my best friend, likes him. It was bound to happen sooner or later, ever since Ryker came out as Polysexual, Dallas had the inkling Ryker felt for him. But then Dallas was pulled into Ryker’s embrace, “ You don’t need to dwell on it though. Let’s just stay like this for a little bit?”
Ryker continues to cuddle Dallas and kisses Dallas’ forehead. In the morning Dallas woke up to his head resting on Ryker’s chest. He got up and walked to the bathroom. He splashed water on his face and looked in the mirror, he started listening to his Playlist on shuffle and brushed his hair. He walked out and started organizing the living room since it was messy from Kalen falling asleep on the couch. "Morning, D" Kalen yawned and looked at the now clean living room, "oh- I was gonna do that- ok-" Dallas laughed and hooked up the music to a speaker, I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend by Girl in Red started playing and Charlotte sprinted into the living room. "Is that what I think it is?!" She ran to the speaker and turned up the volume. "Fuck yea!" She stopped and looked at Kalen. She nervously laughed and sat on the floor in front of the couch. "I'm just- I'm not even gonna say anything-" Kalen looked at her and then walked to his room. Ryker walked out and saw Dallas reading the first Twilight book. "Aw you read that shit?" He teased Dallas by pulling his hood over his head. "Yes, I do. You got a problem with that?" He laughed back. "Nah, I just think it's cheesy, that's all" he crossed his arms and sat on the couch next to him. "Well I like it, I've read each book 4 times" he closed his book and set it down on the table. "Jeez Texas, that's more than I could do in the apocalypse" he pushed up his glasses and stood up and walked into the kitchen. "Alright, we have Cinnamon toast crunch and cheerios, what will it be?" He said as he looked in the pantry. "Well since I'm allergic to cinnamon I'll go with cheerios." Dallas turned over and rested his chin on his hands.
Ryker looks back and smiles, “ You’re cute, you know that right?” He then pulls out the cereal. “Hey. Condensed milk or do you want me to go to the supply drop and get an alternative?”
“Whichever is safer- And I’m not fucking cute…” Dallas looks to the side, blushing a little bit. “Eww, gross, love, bleh” Charlotte makes fake gagging noises and turns up the music again. Dallas rolled his eyes and disconnected the music from the speaker and put his headphones in, he walked to the bedroom with his book and set it down next to the bed, he grabbed a journal and started writing in it. After he was done he dug in his bag and pulled out the picture of Alorah, he tore it up and tossed it in the garbage. He walked over to Kalen’s room and knocked on the door, “Come in!” Dallas opened the door and stood in the doorway, “The 12th is in like 10 days, your birthdays coming up.” Kalen smiled and turned to Dallas. “Yep...18…” He looked kinda nervous but still kept smiling. “We don’t know what happens to people that turn 18, D...What if I go G…?” Dallas walked forward to him and sat next to him, “I don’t know. But whatever does happen, I won't forget you, and if you do...I will take care of Charlotte like she's my own sister.”
